Dsimon - seriously - where on earth did that come from?

Floyd is very young? He is 31 dsimon, 31. That is not "very young" by any stretch of the imagination.

Very young for a boxer, I consider to around the 19/20/21 mark. Floyd is a full decade older than very young.

You probably didn't realise this and were fooled into thinking he was "very young" because he such a retard, and acts like such a stupid little twat all the time.

Unles DSimon were tlaking about...oh I don't know, the average HUMAN BEING LIVING INTO THEIR 70's...

As for the original topic...Mayweather Jr. is probably acting like a malcontent jerk because he only knows that way to act to continue to generate interest. I don't think he's done fighting by a long shot. He needs to keep that black hat (no pun intended) on until the right foil comes along to help him with a needed payday (which, if those spending figures were accurate, could be sooner rather than later). I don't think the HBO crew is racist; I think they're capitalists who coincidentally split on a line that could have involved race as a factor. I suspect Floyd knows that, too.

You must either hate Roy, or love Floyd, because not only is Floyd intensely dislikeable, but how can you possibly think that Castillo, Oscar and Hatton match Roy's wins over Toney, Nard and Ruiz?

Bear in mind too that 2 of those wins for Floyd were close, only the fight against overmatched 140 pounder Hatton was dominant. Whereas Roy's wins were dominant. Factoring that in, it's not even close.

Floyd has fought good competition, but that hardly makes him likeable, I like to judge fighters as fighters, what they do in the ring, but it's pretty hard to ignore someone when they are just a complete and utter twat like Floyd, one of the biggest dickheads on the planet.

I agree with this statement and do it for all athletes. In fact for you to claim he's such a twat is maybe going a bit overboard when word is he's not the same guy off camera. Unless anyone on here has actually had time with a fighter beyond getting a damn autograph I really don't think they have the knowledge to claim if that fighter is a complete and utter ass or not.

Floyd may act an ass on the big stage but he may actually be far from one of the biggest dickheads on the planet.

i don't hate either guy or particularly like either guy. roy annoyed me more because i felt he avoided top competition more than floyd, participated in more mismatches than floyd, and i do rate floyd's competition to be better than roy's. floyd has fought good comp, and yes that does make him more likeable to me

One day when you get my age you will consider a person at 31 "Young." Especially somoene as immature as Floyd. It takes people a while to wise up. Mike Tyson is just starting to wise up frankly as he approaches middle age.

I think that with Floyd it is particularly the case because he had no role models to parent him properly. His father is a great example... look at the guy he is a selfish prick. He still does not really give a shit about Floyd. Yes he does act like a twat.... But I don't see it as being his fault entirely.

    Dsimon,

I've said it before on here I think Pretty Boy has some daddy issues, but that doesn't let him off the hook for claiming racism without even attempting to back it up.

Emotionally, though, I agree he's still very young...and immature.

Listening to the Pac-Diaz broadcast for the first time I can understand why they left Kellerman and Merchant home...they probably only wanted their two best shills calling the fight.

Steward: "he's a crafty, technical boxer."

if they wanted over the top praise they wouldve put merchant on the broadcast. he gets engorged over pacquaio ever since the ledwaba bout.

A lot of people have been since the Ledwaba fight (even though most didn't even know who he was going into it)...but he supposedly had Pac-Marquez II a draw (which was probably a cop out on his part since he said he had it even going into the last round).

I don't know who they would've sent had they sent someone, but I know they wouldn't have wanted Kellerman because he would have tried to keep some of the hype in check...not because of professional integrity but because Pacquiao is not Kellerman's type of fighter.

Winky Wright agrees, ''hbo jus lookin' for a great white hype'', according to boxingscene,.. lol :laughing: , come on America.........we are living in an era, where sports reality shows are popping up, scanning the country for black fighters to get rid of these undesireable white ones in the heavyweight division, yet these frustrated stinkers who are paid alot more than they're worth, are crying racism?.. By the look of Winky, his genetics are probably 75% pure honky,... he dont look quite right to me to be sayin' shit like this,..:crafty:

In boxing terms he's not young, but even in real life terms, 31 is not exactly young, you're a proper adult at 31, there's really no excuse for floyd being as much of a bellend as he is.

Did you realise he was actually 31?

Knowing TFK it probably means :

Everything bad that happens to a black person is NEVER the result of racism. Every single time.

    So Floyd is wrong.

    I think he's being sarcastic

and mean that certain blacks will blame racism on everything that goes wrong in their lives.

What are you suggesting, that Floyd is not likable? Everybody loves Floyd, when he is giving them money......as long as you are not his kids.

Floyd is an idiot. Of course HBO and everyone else in their right mind praises Pavlik and Pacman. They are two of the most exciting fighters in the game right now. Floyd might have got more praise had he not been one of the most boring fighters ever.

    From Boxing Scene:

I guess it sorta begs the question what Mayweather stands for...or at least thinks he stands for.

PBF is just a jealous azz who can't stand to share the spot-light with anyone. And if racism is the only reason his pea-brain can come up with as to why a fighter like Pavlik would garner attention and make people excited about boxing, while they're sick and tired of his snooze fests, then so be it. He's just like RJJ - a total dck-head with an ego that's through the roof. The only difference is we've been given the privilege not once but twice of witnessing RJJ get KTFO. That makes him more sympathetic. PBF is such a puss he's gonna retire rather than fight someone who could possibly beat him, let alone K him TFO. He'll always be hated.
