Supposedly this fight is FINALLY gonna happen, Oct 18th. WAR CHAD! Please rid us of this annoying fuckin milkdud!

I pick Dawson by UD, but I admit that Tarver has a legit puncher's chance.

Does he? If you ask me he has lost a lot of snap on his punches. This should be an easy win for Dawson.

I hope Chad can stop him, I'd like to see Tarver on his ass.

I absolutely hate Tarver, but he looked better than Dawson did in their last fights. Dawson looked very average and barely beat Glen Johnson, while Tarver dominated a guy Glen couldn't beat in Woods.

As much as it pains me to say this, I think Dawson is in for a whooping here.

Come on, it's not fair at all to say Glen Johnson couldn't beat Clinton Woods.

Well in all fairness, Tarver went through hell against Johnson and even lost to him. Theres no telling how good Tarver would look against Johnson even now.

I hate Tarver as well and hope Dawson destroys him.

You're right, they went about even really. But Tarver absolutely dominated Woods.

I hate Tarver man, this is hard for me to say, but he is going to beat Dawson. I hope I'm wrong.

I pick Tarver over Dawson too.

I thought the Coffe beat him pretty clearly actually, I don't know why everyone was getting so excited about Dawson.

That's what I'm saying. He didn't look special to me at all. AND this isn't the Glen that beat Tarver in 2004, this is the 39 year old Glen!

I hope you're right. I guess I'm just not seeing what you all see in Dawson.

Well theres a reason why Clinton Woods fought tenative all night long. Tarver stunned him a few times. Tarver without question hits harder than Johnson. Chad is a very talented fighter, but if he has one weakness its his chin. Tarver has a chance to Harding him, but I think most likely Chad will be too young, and fast for Milkdud. Should be an interesting fight though.

2008 just keeps getting better in boxing!:bears:

Well he virtually shut out Adamek, who at the time was considered possibily the best at 175.

Chad IMO wasnt at his best against Johnson. He looked less sharp than usual, and it wasnt just because of what Johnson did.

Expect him to be sharper vs Tarver.

Yes unfortunately its true. mex and Z are correct. Milk dude is not a great fighter but one has to consider this. He is very good. He has a punch and beat some good guys.

Dawson arguably did not beat Johnson and at any rate aside from passing the gut test that fight provided, he didn't show the ability to sail to the top of the division by convincigly beating a crusty veteran.

Dawson has work to do still and Milkdud had to see it in the Johnson fight which is probably why all his friends were like "Milk dud put downt he crack pipe and take this fight you can take this kid.

Hmm, I don't know about that, to me it looked all Johnson's doing, Johnson simply bnrought more to the table than any of his other opponents, took the fight to him, and Dawson couldn't handle him.

I don't really rate Adamek either.

I would actually root for Dawson over Tarver, nobody likes the milkdud, and I am no exception.

Depends what you mean by "handle", Dawson won the fight afterall. Tarver is the same guy who had a life and death struggle with Muriqui. he's pretty much done and Dawson is going to put him in his proper place. :partie:

I thought he was done too, but he didn't look it against Woods. Woods is nothing special, but he is no bum either. If he was "done" - he probably would have lost to woods, or at least struggled badly with him.

And by handle, I mean win clearly :p

I really think that was a straight up robbery, I was shocked when they gave it to Dawson, but not that surprised given Glen's history of decisions.

"Why do dey tairk it from me all di time?"

It wasn;t a robbery at all, Dawson edged it out 115-113. Style wise tarver will be a much easier fight. he's not as tough as Johnson and Dawson has a big ass speed advantage against him. Lastly to be honest Woods is pretty bummy. if the matchups were Dawson-Woods and Johnson-Tarver III there's a good chance we would just now be seeing Dawson-Johnson.

both Tarver and Dawson are incredibly overrated.

But Tarver has done great things at 175 before and is not past his prime.

Dawson hasn't done shit but win a belt. He got a gift against Jhonson and should be fighting him again not Tarver.

I liked Dawson a couple of fights ago but the more I watch him the more average he looks.

We have a lot of people who struggle to score fights on this forum apparently (not you MWS we usually agree). if anyone wants Tarver put some money where your mouth is I will take any bets.

Tarver did look pretty good in his last fight. He even was dancing on his toes and actually threw punches. I couldn't believe what I was seeing

Honestly I think Woods froze under the bright lights. I´m happy I didn´t bet on the fight, cause I really thought Woods would just wear down Tarver. Of course you have to give Tarver a shot, but that he couldn´t put down Muriqi might be an indication, that his power has decreased, although it had some hand in the performance of Woods. I could easily see Dawson just overwhelm Tarver with his speed, skill and combinations. We´ll see whether Tarver still has the sharpness and reflexes to counter Dawson effectively. Even as a Tarver fan I doubt it.

your in the minority who saw DAwson winning. There is a reason for that and is not the majority being wrong or not knowing how to score fights.

the way your cheerleading for Dawson even after he got a gift decision shows what a biased fan you are and that's why you saw him win.

Actually there were plenty of people who thought Dawson won that fight. I am clueless how anyone scored more than 6 rounds for Johnson (yes a draw would have been OK, but nothing more). Johnson didn't win 7 rounds though. The bigger issue with that fight was all 3 judges had the fight 116-112 which surprised some people. Anyways if you have problem with my prediction put some money where that fat fucking mouth of yours is.

Yes he did. Even in that fight Tarver didn't look that great, Woods was just that bad.
