    Via boxscene.

Nothin official yet, just in talks for now. The fight makes sense though, since its difficult for both to find opponents.

    Who would win?

How does this fight make sense? Williams is a 147lber and Wright hasn't fought in over a year, when he fought at 170.

Williams is no goddamn 147 pounder, I wish people would stop sayin that. The guy has fought comfortably at 160 several times before, and has a frame that can easily support the weight. He probably cant even make 147 anymore, which is the reason he's taking all these fights at higher weights.

Actually, he is the WBO champ at that weight. That is also the only weight he has ever fought a good fighter at.

And Cotto was the WBO junior welterweight champ once upon a time, does that mean it was his natural weight? Williams' natural weight is 154-160. He's a starved down welter. And Winky is a career, and natural 154 pounder, who in recent years ate himself up to 160 and higher.

That's all fair, I know where you're coming from. I'm just saying Williams hasn't done shit above 147. Not against real fighters.

Winky isnt what he once was, and he hasnt fought in well over a year. Williams has a pretty good chance IMO.

Winky been in there with strong and bigger fighters. I think he will nullify William's reach advantage with sheer pressure and his vintage jab.

winky's defense would work perfectly against williams' chaotic offense. he'd counter well with his right jab.

Its possible, but its also possible that 36 years old, after not having fought in over a year, and dropping back down in weight, that Wright will be flat as hell. In which case, Williams can outwork him in win.

The Wright of a few years ago I'd pick over Paul w/o any hesitation, now I still favor Winky slightly, but Paul has a good chance.

Winky will be spindled with easy, he puts his arms up tightly into position as if he's surrendering to Williams breakfast table, yes please Paul we'll take that. :bears:

Williams is a superior fighter to Sam Soliman, who with a very similar style, gave Winky a tough fight.

Are you still mad that Winky took your fraud hero Taylor to school, and got robbed with a draw?

BTW- A prime Wright embarasses your butt buddy Tony.

2 southpaws almost always sucks for an action fight unless it's Juanma-Ponce or Latimore-Powell.

Kevin Kelley was another exception. I loved the Naseem Hamed fight and the first fight with Derrick Gainer.

Gainer v Kelly I was absolutely incredible. That was such a good fight. Takes two to make it happen, sure, but Kevin was so good in so many fights.

I thought Spinks-Judah I was a surprisingly entertaining fight. Pac-David Diaz, however one-sided it became, wasn't exactly boring either.

Nunn-Liles was a good action fight between two southpaws.
