Personally I think Williams has to fight like he did in the first fight, by using his reach and distance to even have a chance in this one. If he comes in thinking he's a puncher and tries to brawl like he did in his last 2 fights he's getting stopped.

Williams is hungry and I don't mean in a good sense, the dude is skinny as hell and Margarito should destroy that body.

I'm still not sold on Williams. Yeah, he KO'd Quintana and beat Margarito by outworking him, but I still don't see him as the man.

He's like Juan Diaz of the welterweight division. Volume puncher with not too much pop. He landed a perfect short shot on Quintana and he never recovered.

I love the welterweight division, 3 of my current favourite fighters are there, Margarito, Mosely and Williams,.. Margarito, the red tiger beetle, does have unfinished business with the big black spider, it will be another case of Williams constantly spindling the web, and Margarito nipping away at the strands to free himself in order to go forwards, the rematch is for welterweight supremecy.

    You guys underestimate Williams.

He did outbox Margarito pretty well and closed out the show with a solid 12th round. And took plenty of hard shots from Margarito from rounds 7-11. If Cotto had stayed on his feet he MIGHT have won a decision too. But he couldn't take it. Williams did.

Clottey and Williams are infact Margarito's two biggest threats. A Margarito - Williams rematch is THE FIGHT for number 1. Mosely is just too old for Margarito's constant pressure, Cintron is gone, Zab's a fucken bum, and Quintana does not have the durability to last 12 rounds with Antonio.

Yeah man. I just love Margarito, man - ever since I picked up his career set a few years ago. He fought Clottey and Williams back to back but they weren't as sexy as Judah or Mosley. In actuality, he was a prime fighter battling the future while Cotto fought the past. But I take nothing away from Miguel, he fought an excellent fight and really is an elite fighter. But Paul Williams is no slouch and will give ANY welter problems. Sh*t, I'm not sure who I'd pick over him.

Williams is a far superior fighter to the Baby Cow.

Cotto wasn't winning a decision. He was behind on 2 cards and he was losing round 11 even before the knockdown's. In fact even if Cotto won 11 and 12 he would have only gotten a draw.

Yeah, I saw this later. Good for the judges. It was a close fight but I was afraid they too might've had one ear towards what Lampley was saying.

I rewatched the fight this morning and it's amazing just how biased Lampley was during that fight.

It's commonplace for him to have a favorite in fight and therefore bastardize the call of a fight, but even he outdid himself last night.

About the only thing he got right was calling Cotto "the constant retreater".

I really got sick of the 'winner of this fight is the welterweight champion' bullshit. Since Margarito won, the lineage goes through Williams. The winner of last night's fight might be the best, but he sure isn't the 'champ.'
