Antonio Margarito is a tough fight for anyone at 147. His size alone makes him awkward to fight. Paul Williams had the right gameplan and his body allowed him to fight the way he did. I don't think he could beat Floyd, but it isn't suprising to me that Floyd wanted nothing to do with Margarito. Way to much risk and not enough reward for the pretty boy.

I bet DLH fights Margarito next.

DLH will get murdered. I think he stay away from Margarito. I'm surprised he's not fighting Sergio Mora for his title.

Your so called victories got a lot of help from the judges Chris. And for the record Cotto was the first elite guy Margarito beat so yes this is and was a valid line of reasoning.

You are a classless asshole. I didn't lose any money to you on this fight By the way asshole so don't make it seem like I bet with you.. I saw that Cotto's size would be a problem and it is stated on a few threads (proof).

I hope when you pick the wrong guy some one on your level is a classless ass to you so you two can have at it. You didn't take shit from me this time asshole so there!

Funny how Margarita was this perennial welterweight contender, B - fighter, limited brawler, and suddenly he can beat about anyone put in front of him. :shit:

Nah, same guy. He can only really fuck up miguel Cotto:bears:What does the number 10 mean to you guys? For me, it is how many times I have watched rounds 9, 10 and 11 of that fight, hahahahahahahahah!!!

I've been impressed since the Tijuana Tornado fought Tono Diaz and walked through hell to stop him. Another brutal fight.

Plus anybody who makes a guys ear grow floppy like Dumbo's, then makes it explode with hard punches is impressive. No lie.

Maybe YOU thought that's what he was but I can assure you that not everyone agreed with you. I think we can drop the B - tag now.

margarito is the best mexican welterweight since pipino cuevas. i'll laugh at anyone who will try to dispute that.

I would've loved to have seen a Jose Louis Lopez-Antonio Margarito bout.

didnt lopez make a comeback recently? that's a nice easy tuneup for margarito!

but yea, that would've been a good fight. margarito would've won that fight late on points.

For the record, I have always been impressed with Cotto and thought he looked like complete fighter sat 140 and 147. I picked Margarito confidently because I think Margarito is a best and eventually he'd break Cotto down. Even with Cotto winning most of the flurries, anyione who comes forward and applies that much offense will break the man down if there;s nothing to keep him off. Cotto's punches just weren't going to be enough to keep Margarito off of him.

I was drunk as hell for the fight but as far as I can remember my theory went according to plan (though it was three rounds later than I thought.) I can't wait to watch it sober next w/e.

You were impressed enough to change your mind about Margarito being ELITE in between the Cotto fight and this one.

The ILLEGAL HANDWRAPS "Changed" REED's Mind...Margarito's BIGGEST "Win" is Now SHROUDED N DOUBT....& he Got ASS RAPED by a Past Prime, 37 Year Old Former Lightweight...

    Sorry, but that ISN'T Impressive...

Brother Reed you are exxageratin because Mosley was superb tonight... however the handwraps are indeed an interesting issue. Along those same lines I can't help but feel like any welter who can go to the body regularly will cause Margarito many problems... did you seem the slow mo's where Margarito was wincing from those shots?

Margarito also took a hell of a beatin tonight... so I don't know. I mean it may cast some aspersion on his elite status that i a fair statement.
