Lacy felt 550K weren´t a sufficient enough offer to fight Taylor. That is the reason for his "retirement".

 

clearly, there's unfinished business between taylor and wright.

lacy looks like he's neither mentally nor physically straight in the game, so let him retire.

wright hasnt fought in a while and is getting old. this is a perfect opportunity for taylor to restablish himself if he can beat winky.

also, it's a fight for winky to avenge that draw that should've been a W.

i'd much rather see this than taylor vs. lacy.

yea, i really hope it comes through. i thought their first fight was excellent. it was a well worth of trip to memphis although the undercard was pure garbage.

i'd go see it if it lands on the east coast somewhere.

 

Well said. That's absolutely true - his opponents can see everything coming, with the same angles, at the same speed.

That....and how much he strains and tenses up to deliver his "power shots."

I say this ad nauseum....the best punchers are the relaxed ones; the ones that know that it comes from setting your entire weight behind a punch, from the legs/waist up.

The ones that "force" it by straining usually are actually arm punching and actually under-utilize their power and strength.

wright hasn't fought in forever and hasn't shown he can carry weight above middleweight. I'm glad taylor isn't getting a chance to avenge his loss under those circumstances.
