This is a pipe dream! Floyd isnt coming back guys.... well no time soon anyway. I dont think it has anything to do with him "fearing" Marg or Cotto... I just dont think he cares about boxing anymore.

    WORD!

Floyd stops Margarito by share accumulation of punishment. Floyd would be tattooing him all night long with consumate ease. tony is way too easy to hit..and missing Floyd all night will wear him down also.

If the fight comes off I'll sigbet ANYONE!! :partie:

kellerman was trying to shame him into facing margarito. merchant wouldn't have bothered mentioning mayweathers name at all.

the guy turned down 25 to 30 million dollars, I don't know why he'd fight anyone anytime soon other than possibly Delahoya next may. kellerman is quite worthless.

It was blatant, just like having Kellerman in the ring after Hatton-Castillo with the audio opened up to the British crowd in attendance, asking Fatton about Mayweather.

Just like Mayweather turning down $8 million to fight Margarito became a theme during the pay per view.

Exactly. People still talk about PBF whether it's in a negative manner or a positive manner. He still gets mentioned plenty on this site. I hope he does come out of retirement to fight Marg cause that's the fight everyone wants to see. But if he doesn't then so be it. It's his career not ours. I'll Holla 5000

yes I'm sure that's a priority in mayweathers life at this point but better yet I think what will eventually drive him out of retirement is so that he can prove to an internet boxing message boarder named pascals wager that he has reached the top of his sport. I imagine that chaps mayweathers hide daily.

just out of curiosity: how much more than the infamous 8 million do you think mayweather would receive to fight margarito now?

I hope, as a boxing fan that you are correct that PBF would want to make proving that he's the best @ 147 a priority.

As a fan of the sport, I would feel dissapointed to see a great talent like PBF retire from the division, when there are so many more opportunities there for him. (And for us as boxing fans).

    For example;
Consider who you regard to be the top 3 guys @ 147.
Have those 3 guys fought each other?
Has PBF fought any of them?

Kind of makes you wonder whether PBF retired on top with nothing left to prove, don't you think?

It's maybe idealistic, but as a boxing fan, I always want guys with great talent, to seek out the biggest challenges, and dare to be great, as opposed to appearing great, & as boxing fans, IMO we should be pissed off when they don't, instead of making excuses for them.

As a fan of boxing, I sometimes express these types of views on a boxing message board, which is as far as I understand, an entirely appropriate place to do so.
I do so without any expectation whatsoever that any boxer (or to a slightly lesser extent, any other boxing fan), would give two shits about such views.

In fact, I think It would be pretty sad if a boxer such as PBF felt the need to prove anything to me, or any other single person on a boxing message board.
