Norris was better than Cotto but he probably had a lesser chin. He had better power though, better handspeed and better combos. I don't think Margarito could afford to get hit as much as he did against Cotto, that would certainly slow him down. I'd pick Terry by UD or late stoppage. Of course he could very well get stopped himself but I would still put my money on him.
Terry could also outbox him easily. I agree with your analysis. I just think Margarito would stop him.
I think alot of ppl are underrating Norris in this fight. Terry was a better fighter than Cotto in every facet of the game, perhaps expect chin, though Cotto's chin is hardly good. Norris was much better definsively though than Cotto, and on his A game he'd see Tony's punches coming from 2 miles away.
I like Norris here via UD. At 154, Margarito doesn't punch quite as hard and Norris is no chinnier than Daniel Santos, whom Margarito couldn't put out, and I don't think anybody here believes Santos is better than Norris.
Is this a joke? Norris is INFINITELY more talented than a guy like Margarito..but you and I BOTH know that Margarito's style is ALL wrong for Terry Norris. Margarito by latr round TKO
Let me first say that I agree that Terry Norris was an extremely skilled and fast boxer/puncher. Who in the fuck did he ever beat that was that great? An old and over the hill Leonard who was fighting at his lowest weight in years? John Mugabi? He was done the minute he signed to face Marvin Hagler. Not trying to pick a fight here Xplosive.....but you overestimate the heck outta Terry Norris.
Norris would tear Tony to shreds, bust him up and stop him in 9 or 10 in a one-sided lynching of the Mexican face first cheater. Not even close to being that competitive, similar to what Shane did to Margarito.
