Schaefer and Finkel have talked and it could happen next year.

Klitschko says he's willing to fight Haye in England.

Look for Haye to take a soft touch in the fall. Instead of a top ten guy like he's been claiming. I hope Wlad knocks him cold with a jab.

If Haye lands first he'll KHTFO.

It'll be a fun fight, but it won't last long.

If this is true and Vlad grows a pair he has my respect. Somehow I doubt it.

AS a fight it would be fun if nothing else. Haye can punch hard enough to threaten Klitschko which is what makes it worth watching.

Fighting shite does nothing for the fans, it is unfair to them. A champion has the responsability to address that issue. Potavkin is a simple fight as his other last fights were.

I don't believe that boxers should have to change the way they fight to be entertainers, but they do owe the fans a good match up. Most fans would agree that Haye is an exciting fight for Klitschko... If he beats Haye easily then so be it, the fans get an exciting fight out of it.

Wlad would never use such foul language as "shut up" in public.

Wlad's gonna eat the little man's asshole alive. Don't make this fight out to be something that it's not, ds.

Haye fighting at cruiser is gonna try and come up and eat superheavyweight leather? This'll be fun to see.

I think it is the most exciting heavyweight fight out there.....i really don't know how it would play out....Haye is the anti-heavyweight.....he's different to all the other contenders (he's lean, quick, fights exciting, got charisma...)........one scenario is that Klitschko is too big and powerful and blows David out of there.....another one, is that the reverse happens....David is too quick, lands that right hand and it's good night Klitschko

You do realise that Haye and Wlad are about the same height, reach et al, don't you? It just so happens that Haye goes to the gym and is well defined and trim for a big man, unlike many of his HW contempories.

According to weekend reports in the papers over here, Haye is now regularly weighing around 220lb, which I'd guess to be his likely HW fighting weight.

    All correct.

If Wlad was some iron chinned, lightning quick beast, then you'd expect his size to prevail. But he isn't; he is vulnerable around the whiskers himself and that gives Haye a live chance, so long as his very good CW power and speed carries.

I don't know, I'm not seeing it. I think Haye needs to prove something at heavyweight first against a top 20 at the least before going after the champion. Wlad is considerably bigger than he is and more full out physically(wider). Naturally, Wlad will be stronger.
But if Haye is indeed capable of making it a fight, that'd be fine. If he wins, even better. The division could use a shake up.

Okay- I checked now: Wlad has three inches in height (6 ft 6 against 6ft 3) and 6inch reach on Haye(81-75).

These are hardly insurmountable disadvantages, especially if Haye retains what should be a clear and obvious advantage in speed.

In any event, the sooner Haye fights a live body at HW the better. Things will become a lot clearer at that point.

If this Fight is agREED to by All Parties, REED Wouldn't Blame Haye @ All for Fighting a BUM This Fall...Go Ahead & PRESERVE that World Title Shot, Dog...

Klit-Haye is Gonna B BRIEF & EXPLOSIVE!!...1 of 2 Things will Happen...Wlad's Jab will Make it IMPOSSIBLE for Haye to Get Inside & the Right Crosses will B Haye's UNDOING...OR, Haye's Speed will B toooooo Much for Wlad & He'll Administer a Dempsey-Willard Style Beatdown...

Either Way, this Fight DOESN'T Go 5 Rounds...

I'd just like to see Haye fight one single fringe heavyweight first before I can even begin talking about how I think a fight with him and Wlad would go. I understand that Haye is cocky, and the Brits pump up thier sports stars like no other, but really, these bigger guys can crack harder and tire you out with thier lumbering weight and strength, I understand that Haye is too big for Cruiserweight and is actually a heavyweight, but he's yet to really get accustomed to even 'decent' heavyweight opposition, let alone the very best opposition.

Yeah, I'd like to see him fight someone the caliber that he said he would back when he confronted Klitschko for the cameras.

If he doesn't, I don't think it speaks much for him, or his fans if they give him a pass on not following through on it.

well thats the plan.....Klitschko will face Povetkin (which is his toughest fight for a long time) before the year is out, and Haye will fight, hopefully, a top 10/fridge contender in November.....thing is, with these too....there is a danger of leaving it too long.....either of them could get knocked out before the fight comes to fruition

I agree on Povetkin, he is one of the most worthy challengers there's been in a while.

But if Haye isn't willing to test himself against a marginal contender in this current division before fighting Klitschko then it doesn't say much for him.

I'd like to see him at least fight someone who can last more than a round, because I would like more time to see him carry the weight.

But then a longer look may take the bloom of the rose a bit....better from a marketing stand pont to build him as an unstoppable force against some china chin.

yeah, but he is.....November.....I'm pretty sure David will pick an opponent from one of the main organisations top 10s

    http://www.fightnews.com/rankings2.htm

ha, after looking at those top 10s....the divsion is even more dire than i realised.......if there was ever a time when a cruiserweight champ deserved a straight shot at the heavyweight champ, then it is now....

Three inches is 'way bigger? Perhaps when comparing dick sizes it might be, but it sure as hell isn't when you are discussing Heavyweight boxers and it DEFINITELY doesn't when there are 7 foot Ivan Drago wannabes like Valuev knocking about... :nono:
