Maybe not Corrales, but ALOT of ppl picked Floyd to stop Hatton(including me, I was only off by a round). But Corrales and Floyd were the same natural size, Marg's a MUCH bigger man than Floyd. Plus Chico's chin prior to fighting Floyd had never been as proven as Marg's. And lastly, that fight took place at 130 in Floyd's absolute prime. I can assure you that Floyd is no longer the fighter he was back then.
Lets stop right here and think about this logic. You have a guy in Corrales who was dropped 500 times in his career. Now you use Floyd's performance against him, to justify claiming he could KO Antonio Margarito, who since hitting puberty has been hurt/dropped how many times? The fact that nobody should think Floyd would KO Margarito is not a reason to think it will happen, I mean that is ridiculous.

Duran by decision or late stoppage. Duran absolutely destroys people who come at him. To beat Duran, at any weight, you must have speed/skills and give him the angles to not be comfortable. Antonio Margarito is completely made to order for Duran. He's a good infighter, whose strength and will are his best attributes. Thats the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this matchup. Margarita would get the Palimino treatment. Hell I'm not even sure that Tony would have beaten Palimino. And if he did, he CERTAINLY would not have done it as easily as Duran did. BTW - Which fool on here said that Cotto woulda beaten Duran? :laughing: I remember some simp saying it, but cant remember who.
Anyone who thinks that Margarito would have outbrawled Duran at 147 needs a checkup from the neck up.
