This is EXACTLY why this forum is as it is; as someone else said in this thread, this isn't really a public forum, rather it is a small private Internet message board frequented by the same couple of dozen people mascarading as a boxing forum.

I've been on here for about a year or so now, and I post fairly frequently (though less so of late with the Olympics being on), yet I'm almost certainly the newest 'regular' person on here. In the last year, I cant think of a single regular person who has come here after me and posted regularly. :dunno:

The TAAA forums is clear proof of that. All you get, interspresed with a few interesting threads, is the usual collection of political polemics from a handful of people and a load of crazy threads from Hanzy about other members on here ::. To the non-posting forum member, there is no reason to post, because they don't know anyone and there really isn't much for them to say.

How many times do you log on here and see users browsing but never posting? I could name a few of the top of my head straight away...

Fightbeat's forums are what they are, and they will continue as they are- a little part of the net for the same handful of peeps to come and talk shit to and about people they all know well. Nothing more or less.

Crazy huh? Plenty missing in action but many still posting. I joined here in 2002 and by that time had already posted on Boxing.com and then Btime. Came here full time after Jason had his little tanty.

 

You're right MTF. I don't think we're meaning to exclude anyone but it must be difficult trying to understand and break in on some of the conversations here. Old jokes like calling someone a 'sexual' wouldn't make any sense.

For what it's worth, I think you've been a fantastic addition to the community here. I'd love to see more new posters contribute as much as you have.
