Guys who were BORN or MADE to Campaign Effectively @ 1 Exclusive Weight OR Guys who Never Bothered to even TRY Fighting @ Another Weight... Marvelous Marvin Hagler is Perhaps the Most PROMINENT Example... Ricky Hatton Huggers Loooooooooove to Point this Out as Reasoning for Why Floyd WAXED Him... & B 4 ANY Psuedo Comedian Says it, Please SPARE REED a List of Heavyweight Fighters, O.K.???... REED:hammert:
Hatton was no doubt better at 140.. but he is a fat ass so it's hard to say.. Floyd would rape him at any weight despite the hatton dick suckers here claiming he lost due to weight
zoo is a good one.. he'd have gotten ass raped at a heigher weight.. FLoyd would have shitted in Zoo''s mouth
Aaron Pryor I'd put Hatton on that list considering he turned down a HUGE payday against Oscar after realizing that he can't compete at 147. I'd put Verno Phillips on the list, considering he only fought at 147 four times early in his career.
Jose Luis Castillo It's probably weak to list a bunch of cruiserweights, but one that stands out is Vassily Jirov.
Of course you can. Anyone who competes for 15 years in one division, never taking fights in between that are over the weight...is most definitely someone I'd consider a one weight fighter, regardless of what Hopkins has done since he left.
I thought it was fighters who were pretty much only effective at one weight...or diminished significantly after moving up in weight...or stayed because they couldn't move up (or perhaps moved up and tried and failed). Calzaghe seems closer to this than Hopkins. He hasn't failed, but he's going to avoid most of the top light heavyweights...except the faded ones. Hopkins jumped up two divisions late.
Yep... @ 1 Time, Pryor was a Top 5-10 Lightweight AND the Jr. Welter Champ, Simultaneously... His Name Appeared N BOTH Weight Classes N Ring Magazine... REED:hammert:
It's YOUR List, but REED Isn't sooooo Sure about Bernard & Wilfredo Gomez... Bernard BEGAN his Career @ Crusier, then Moved Back Up to Lightheavy LATE, DOMINATING the Recognized Champ... & Wilfredo Gomez Won World Titles from 122-130, if REED's Not Mistaken... REED:hammert:
Yeah, but he's going to go down in history as a two-time champ in two of boxing's original weight classes. I don't think he fits this thread.
Good choice. A little bit too big for welter, but certainly not a middleweight. He used to come in well below 154 on many occasions.
I doubt it would have been a factor at welter although it certainly would have been if ever tested the waters at 160. Anyhow, he's a perfect candidate for the topic of this thread so fuck off! :flip:
I've had it with you. I'm going to fly over their with my moose and have it trample your little kangaroo into the ground. Next i'm going to have my polar bear rape your croc.
Has anyone ever claimed that? I laughed at the Hatton fanboys who thought Hatton could even ever beat PBF. Floyd beat Hatton everytime and anyweight they could both make.
