He was in the fight in as much as he was fighting back and landing big shots, but Gonzales was absolutely and without question DOMINATING the fight. No argument whatsoever. Down and hurt multiple times (while making absolutely zero dent in Gonzales in return), losing all the rounds...there's one way and one way only to view that.

So U HONESTLY Had Chiquita WINNING 6 to 0, @ the Time of the KO???:dunno:...

HOW can a Fight Achieve "Fight of the Year" Status when ONE Guy DOMINATES Every Round til the End???...

Thats exacly what JDJ and Castro was.

At best, you could give Carbajal a round. The fight wasn't competetive up until the shocking KO. THATS what made it such a great fight, nobody saw that coming.

john david jackson was schooling the shit outta castro before running into a punch he didnt see.

gonzalez was beating carbajal but he was running outta gas and carbajal was coming on strong which led to the brutal finish.

Not true. Tito was a 3-1 favorite and the majority of the posters on the message board (I think I was still on SecondsOut rather than here) were very much in favor of Tito. Let's not revise the past here.

Yes, more experts, fans, etc picked Tito over Hopkins, but do a little search and you'll find it wasn't as on overwhelming majority like the 90% that favored Gomez. In Tito's case it was more like a 65% majority in favor of him.

Ring Magazine did a pre-fight poll and 15 of the 20 favoured Trinidad to KO Hopkins. Thats a one sided poll result, especially over a defending champion of the division for some 7 years.

    You're losing.

He's not losing, he lost convincingly a while back.

There's a good reason why panchy almost never posts in boxing general.

I am the only person I know who picked Hopkins. I didn't post on the internet then. Most people had never heard of Hopkins. That fight actually got mainstream press and the fight was basically Tito will beat this guy then fight Roy Jones.

That's a huge margin. USA Today had 12 out of 17 favoring Tito and a poll at Cyber boxing Zone had 36 out of 56 favoring Trinidad, still a majority, but not like 15 out of 20.

Sanchez would've done a number and beat the shit outta overrated Barrera, and Morales.

Marquez would have given him a decent fight, but lost.

Manny would be his only real threat, but Manny is too one dimensional to have beaten Sal.

Sanchez isnt overrated at all IMO. He was the most complete featherweight of all time.

Honestly, his toughest fight would have been Morales in his prime...good chin, good power good skills...
Pacman, way too one dimensional, he owuld have a punchers chance but thats it, and Sanchez had a great chin...
