This Fight STILL Holds a Degree of INTRIGUE N REED's Opinion...A Couple Years Ago, it Could've Been a PPV Fight, but Now it's Basically a "Loser Leave Town" Match...

Lacy Looked AWFUL N his Last Fight Against Epifanio Mendoza, but he can STILL Crack...If Jermain Plays Lacy CHEAP, he Could Get Caught...

Jermain has the TOOLS to make this an EASY Fight (Height & Reach Advantage, Better Handspeed, Jab), but as Well All Know, Taylor AIN'T the Smartest or Most CONSISTENT Fighter Out There...Plus, by the Time he Gets N the Ring w/Lacy, Taylor will B Coming Off of an INACTIVE Spell...

Will this B a GOOD Fight???...Does the Winner have ANY Hopes of Being Considered ELITE Again???...Is it Better LATE than Never OR Better NEVER than Late???...

    Taylor vs. Lacy...Thoughts???...Opinions???

    I thought Lacy was retiring...

As for the fight, it's intriguing of course. But the logical pick is Taylor by comfortable UD. I hope Lacy puts him to sleep though.

Well, it seems that Lacy's retirement talks was just sour grapes because of his lackluster performance....

Taylor beats Lacy into retirement. Can't see it happening any other way.

If Taylor destroys Lacy (as he should) he could become relevant again. Hopefully Jermain shows some aggression is not just content to win a decision sitting back and pawing out jabs.

The only real intrigue in this fight is the fact that they were Olympic teammates.

    ...and desperately need a win.

    The winner should fight Kessler.

    It's Intriguing STYLISTICALLY Though...

Taylor has NEVER Been as "Athletic" as Some have Described him as Being (Particularly when it Comes to his FOOTWORK), so he'll B N RANGE for Lacy to Fire BOMBS @ Him...

Plus, Taylor WILL Fight Back HARD when Pressed...Pavlik had to LITERALLY Beat Taylor DOWN N their 1st Fight...Ditto for Lacy, he WILL Fight Back HARD when Pressed...

Just when it APPEARS that Taylor is about to Waste Lacy, Lacy Could HURT Taylor...

Though NOT Meaningful, REED Thinks this Fight Will B MEMORABLE N Terms of Action...Both Cats R Offensive Minded & LIMITED Defensively...Wouldn't Surprise REED if we Got a Matthew Saad Muhammad-Marvin Johnson Type of WAR...

agREED that the Winner Should fight Kessler, Especially if it's Taylor...

How is it a loser leave town match REED? Both guys have lost only to one man and that one man is the best man in their respective divisions.

Well, Lacy ARGUABLY has 3 Losses...

The Fight After Calzaghe (Tsypko, if REED's Not Mistaken) SHOULD have Been a LOSS...& the Mendoza Fight was IFFY...

If Lacy Loses, the BEST he can Hope for is an FNF Date Here or There, which would B a MAJOR Disappointment Considering Where Lacy was N the Not Toooooooo Distant Past...

& if Taylor LOSES, there's NO HOPE, Considering how SHAKY Lacy has Looked...

The Loser DOESN'T have to Retire, but he'll B Regarded as No More than an OPPONENT for the Rest of his Career...

There were a bunch of people that thought Lacy lost to Sheika.

I can't wait for this fight. It's gonna be fun.

I see Taylor dominating the rounds in an entertaining fight, but everyone will think that Lacy's still in it. Then, by the 10th round, Lacy will lose the pop in his punches, and we will all lose faith in his chances of a KO, but still be on the edge of our seats hoping for a come from behind KO in the 12th round because.....well, who doesn't love a come from behind KO?

    Eventually, Taylor by UD.

I still think Taylor has a chance to be elite. I've only started rooting for the guy recently. It's funny though. Sometimes a fighter just has no heart and sometimes they lose their heart in the ring. The odd thing about Taylor is that he lost it with outside factors.

I think Lacy has a punch.

I just don't really like his chances of landing it...and actually stopping Taylor, which I think is about the only way he wins.

I think the difference to me in this fight is Taylor is limited at a world class level, Lacy is limited at just about any level. His power and delivery won't be enough, IMO.

Still, as someone who wanted to see Fernando Vargas-David Reid when they were champions...I guess I can consider this the poor man's delayed version.

it was spur grapes because of what Lacy considered to be an insulting offer (a "measly" $550,000). He blamed the politics of the sport (namely Golden Boy) and said he had enough... only to come back less than a week later to accept the fight.

I think if Jermain lost this.. he should go get a job selling hotdogs out of a cart in HotLanta

Lacy IMO can punch.. but that is IT! and ANY decent boxer (which Jermain is) shoudl beat him.. Jermain has height, reach, skill, speed, over him and good power himself IMO

I think they shoudl fight and the loser should seriously consider resturant managment

    JT is way underrated.

He does very well against the guys that he should beat (including Lacy who I think he'll easily beat). He beat twice Bernard Hopkins. Against Pavlik he nearly had him KO'd in the first match and lost a close decision in the rematch.
