What did the Tito fight do?

TO be honest I'd be surprised if it even did that much.

Like I said, surely most people outside of the Phillipines realise this is a bullshit fight?

Where have you seen this getting attention Val, where boxing doesn't usually generate interest?

Tito-DLH was somewhere around 1.4 million.

Before yesterday, I'd say that this fight would probably surpass Tito-DLH. But Oscar might be shooting himself in the foot in NOT selling this as his final fight. Schaefer's already talking about plans for 2009 which, IMO, makes this circus all the more pointless aside from those who immediately reap the benefit$

I just can't see it doing that much, but maybe I'm giving people too much credit, thinkng that more people would boycott it than actually might.

I didn't know that by the way, that this isn't even being sold as his final fight

Forbes and Pacman - Oscar is really on a roll. After the fight I want to hear him shout "who next?? who next???".

Then proceed to call out Vazquez or Marquez in a battle for the pride of Mexico.

Oscar should try to avenge Mexico's losses by challenging the 80s Mexican Assassin, Roger Mayweather.

I still think Hatton is likely next Cinco de Mayo.

Mora could be as well, but DLH does like it when the opponent's moving up, plus Hatton's a bigger sell.

we already know delahoya brings nothing to the table during 24-7, and I doubt seeing pacquaio sing karaoke and shoot pool will entice many more people to buy this fight.

Hattons life is 10x more boring than Manny's. We'll be able to see the degree of fame Manny has in the Phillipines.

And just because you like watching Mayweather count his money and talk shit mean others people like me dont want to watch Oscar train with MW sr. and look at his smokin hot wife.

Gambling forums. Those people like MMA and hate boxing for the most part. This fights getting a bit of attention already on all of them.

Why is that? I thought Gamblers would like boxing, not only because boxing is a classic sport, but because MMA is slightly more unpredictable than boxing.

Because they are stupid. :atu:A lot of them fall for all the MMA cliches. I constantly end up defending boxing anytime it is brought up on those boards.

hatton actually has a personality as did his trainer. whenever anyone spoke about 24-7 it was either about hatton, or mayweather jr acting a fool on both episodes. no one gave a fuck about delahoya. you actually have a point about mayweather sr, he may make some of delahoyas segments less banal.
