Probaably because he knows Ricky is like 165 right now, probably getting hammered at his pub as we speak. I dont think Hatton's head is even in the sport anymore. If he was at his form of 3 years ago he'd beat Paulie, but right now I just think Paulie will be better prepared and focused, and will embarass Ricky for 12 rounds.
If Hatton is more watchable than Paulie, it aint by much. Hatton has to be the most boring "pressure" fighter of all time. Thank god this fight is regular HBO, cause theres no way in hell I'd order it on PPV. It wont be an exciting fight.
Paulie will win if his hands hold up. His hands hold up 20 percent of the time. Paulie is actually a very good fighter. He only lost to Cotto because he is probably 2 full weight classes smaller. I just think Hatton's homosexuality and love of Duranesque manhumping will cause Paulie to injury himself.
cotto is a fraud yet malignaggi is a very good fighter? :: based on which victories? his whiteness is worth a lot in some peoples eyes I guess. malignaggi also enters the ring in the mid 150s I doubt cotto was more than one or two pounds heavier if at all.

There was nothing funny about what I said. Cotto is bigger than Paulie. In fact, if anything it only proves my point about Cotto being a fraud. Paulie lost by 2 or 3 rounds against a supposed elite fighter who was bigger. I have never said Byrd was exciting. I said he had exciting fights on occasion which haters seem to gloss over. Winky Wright is an exciting fighter to me. You are just a gayer version of Jim Lampley. I can't see how an offensive come forward fighter like Winky with a good defense can be considered boring. So you don't think Paulie has fast hands and feet?

(Okay maybe I don't) but I grudginly accept your point of view on it. However, when you try to sell me on Paulie being a very good fighter, well all I can say to that is LO-FUCKING-L. :laughing:
Hatton is borderline shot, and no his heart isn't really in it anymore. Unless he has become even more shot since Lazcano, he should still beat Paulie though, who didn't exactly look spectacular on the same card.
Both Hatton and Magliani have the worst accuracy among the top fighters of today...I've never seen alleged top fighters hit so much air as these two clowns. This should be the worst fight of all time.
Yep, I'm not looking forward to this at all. The fight will be absolutely gay. Horrendously ugly and boring.
Malignaggi is one of the more suspect champions out there, IMO, but who knows what Hatton has left. I tend to think Bradley and Kotelnik are better champions at this point than either Fatton or Milli Vanilla. I'm still curious whether the Manchester air had any effect on the fights in May, though.
I think Holt might beat Hatton or Paulie now as well. In fact, I'd favor Holt over Malignaggi w/no hesitation at all.

Have a hard time thinking which fighter in the top 10 @ 140 that would lose to Malignaggi. This guys is a joke and the only reason he's going through an injury right now is so he can extend his time as a belt holder. Rest assured that as soon as he fights someone even halfway decent he's going to be giving that belt up.
