My feed was somewhat unstable, though I caught at least nine full rounds. The three I either missed or only caught fragments were in the middle of the fight, which by most r-by-r reports suggested were close and could've went either way. Such was reflected on the cards, but from what I saw, it wasn't a bad decision, though 9-3 Valuev sounds like a stretch.

Still, Valuev didn't show me much tonight. He looked a lot better against Lyakhovich, mainly because Sergei did little to make him work. Ruiz fought well when he stuck to his plan of forcing the action and not giving Valuev a still target. He just didn't do it enough - or he only did it as much as you can expect of a 36-year old heavyweight of his skill level.

British commentator Holdsworth had it 118-112 Valuev and the Bob guy who worked with him scored 116-112 Valuev too. I think Valuev was clearly in command but Ruiz was able to eekout rounds to make it rather close. I thought Waluev won 115-112 with the points deduction and I am surprised so many actually saw it so close

I thought Valuev most likely won, but if I EVER have to put up with those two pommy cunts again, I will quit hearing for the rest of my life.

Why? Holdsworth wipes the floor with every Aussie broadcaster in the business.

Tam - are slow motion replays a recent discovery in Australia?

Who's Holdsworth? If he was on that NUts TV broadcast last night, he fucking sucked. Boxing commentators in Australia are terrible, so you'll have to find something else to argue about with me.

And I don't understand what your last comment is about.

Oh, well I've hardly seen any Aussie broadcasts, but the last one I saw... hmm... either Danny Green against Otis or Mundine against Soloman, the slow motion replays were REALLY over used, and they even talked about them etc

Oy mite, look at our slau maution replays mite, look at em, look, look, look how good they are, slau maution mite

Seriously it was pretty funny, honestly as it they'd only just discovered slow mo.

I had no idea Nuts broadcast any live boxing, I thought it was just Eubank repeats etc, and Calzaghe.

    Someone mentioned it was holdsworth.

You must know him Tam, if you've seen any British Eurosport broadcasts, he's always the boxing commentator there. Or at least used to be.

I like Holdsworth and Mee, mostly because Holdsworth doesnt hold back during the broadcast of what are usually mediocre euro cards on eurosport...having said that, he does go off on bizarre tangents and often distracts from the action as if he's lost interest himself, which is fine during some fights, annoying during others...

His insistance upon summing up every round "well, so and so wins the round" is HIGHLY annoying and had Lampley done stuff like that, the inteweb would be up in arms and screaming brain wash!!!11

Worse than this though, he was giving rounds to Valuev for fuck all and telling us about these "cracking shots" that...were not anywhere. He's a prat, but his partner is more tolerable.

Brits are the worst, but helpful for live betting. Unfortunately I slept through the 10.0 on Ishe Smith against Wolak, cause the eurosport commentators were convinced Wolak was up 8 rounds to 1 going into the 10th.

I thought Valuev won both fights against Ruiz, spurts of aggresion mean fuck all if the punches don't land, ... Valuev has unfinished business with Larry Donald if he wants to show everyone that he's an improved fighter,.. Larry fucked him up:lol::lol::lol:, and kept poppin' that eye, that was a near shut out loss infact,.. 9 - 3,.. a horrible robbery,.. and until proven otherwise, Valuev is Larry's bitch.

Promoters are sadistic when it comes to Ruiz. Seems like they're always forcing Ruiz rematches down our throats. Three boring as hell fights with Holyfield. Now this. Why don't they put him in there with Tua again. And let's be done with the guy.

This fight wasn't that bad. It's not something that'll stay in my rotation or anything, but as far as heavyweight fights go - with or without Ruiz - I've certainly seen worse.
