    Perhaps Raheem?

I haven't seen the fight but many thought Zahir won it anyway.

Its a disgrace to Vargas comparing him to Juarez. Nando had by far better wins, and was by far a better fighter.

    Raheem beat Juarez clearly.

I'd probably take Guerrero as well, though the one thing that would make me hesitate is the way he lingers on the inside.

I guess if they fought now it would be at 130, which should help Guerrero.

Had they fought back last year, I don't know, I'm not sure I'd have been that confident in picking The Ghost.

that's my point: juarez started his career, as a man, at 122. at 126 his power was devastating - that's why he could afford to be patient - the assurance that if and when he times it right, his left-hook is a sense separator....

He couldn't afford to be patient though. He was so close to a world title he could taste it, but he was out-hustled badly by Soto.

He also never got going vs. Raheem.

he beat raheem. raheem's a stink fighter who never landed a clean punch his whole career.

soto's durabilty is what won him the fight - no shame losing to soto when you're a KO artist. i like KO artists. they'll lose fights but they win in specracular fashion.

    No.

I won't even bring up the point deductions. Rudy Gonzales had one of the worst reffing performances in boxing history that night. And even with the points, Raheem probably still won the fight.

    bull-shit!!!

raheem is a notorious coward of a fighter who does nothing but hold. guys a hack.

Juarez has power, but whatever the reasoning, he has a very small strike zone and low activity rate and doesn't do nearly enough to set up his best punch.

The problem I see for The Ghost is he might just end up going along with Juarez in a close, tight fight - eventually, as I don't think Guerrero would start there - and that would allow Rocky to land a left that could change things.

But I'm not at all surprised by Juarez's struggels...IMO, the writing had been on the wall for me as far back as the Hector Acero-Sanchez and Antonio 'Chelo' Diaz fights.

Exactly. He's kind of like a small David Tua. Good power and chin but absolutely no intensity. He can be beat buy guys who simply throw more punches and hold their guard up.

Difference is Tua was losing fights and was able to turn them around with one big shot. Juarez can't even do that.

Not too many guys who fight lazily can win big fights in boxing, let alone in the lower weight classes.

:lol:As if Poop isn't a coward:lol::lol:poop throws 4 punches a round. People who don't throw do that because they are scared to get hit. Zahir Raheem is a shitty stinkbag but he is only slightly worse than Poop Juarez.Poop Juarez and Raheem are two of my least favorite/most hated fighters. I hope Rocky is knocked cold against Barrios and shits his pants while he drools unconsciously.

Juares has NEVER fought at 122. His power is OK against bums but when he stepped it up, it wasn't enough. Juarez is a crap fighter.

why does the tittle say that Barrios was heavy?

I read the weigh in yesterday and they both hit 130 :notallthere:
