This fight makes ALOT of sense down the line. Should Williams fight and beat Verno Philips, and should Kirkland still be undefeated by then, why not match these two up? It'd be guaranteed fireworks thats for sure!

I'd be surprised if these guys don't stay very far from each other for at least the next couple years or so.

Why? Both are young and in thier physical primes right now. I dont think either would be scared to fight the other, it would simply come down to politics.

I don't think their handlers will let it happen. Too much chance and not enough reward for both guys at this point.

On paper you would think Paul Williams destroys Kirkland just with his reach but he has a habit of giving up his height to keep himself active and might find himself in Kirklands wheelhouse more then once.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see this fight. I just don't think it makes sense for either guy right now. Maybe after Kirkland gets a few more fights under his belt, if he doesn't get upset in the meantime.

Well if neither is getting any fights, eventually I dont think their handlers will have much of a choice but to match them eventually.

As for the matchup itself. You have to favor Paul at the present time, but given that Williams likes to trade, and is easy to hit, Kirkland would have a chance.

Not that Kirkland is a great fighter, but Williams is starting to become a bit overrated. He's not unbeatable by any means.

I'd love to see it. What is strange is it appears Williams has a great chin even though his neck looks a pencil. If Williams' chin holds up, he would shut Kirkland out.

That was actually the main reason I picked Marge over him. His little neck and small pointy chin fooled me, I thought he wouldn't be able to take a punch.

I cannot think of another tall skinny guy who has that build and has a good chin. Morales was skinny but he didn't look weak. Williams looks like he smokes crack. He looks downright frail. At this point, I have seen him get tagged to the point where he is not chinny no matter what happens in his career. Plus, his defense sucks. The guy eats flush shots and honestly he was never been seriously hurt. Williams is a fucking freak.

I agree, I was very surprised but what he was able to take from marge, he was never seriously hurt.

It's true, Morales looked emaciated at the weigh in, but somehow still had a pretty solid looking face and chin. Williams looks downright frail and scrawny.

I wonder how his chin stacks up at 160.

When U Factor N How Cotto "Dealt" w/MargariTO's Power, it's REALLY Amazing How Williams Fared N Comparison...

U & REED have Discussed the "Weak" LOOK that Williams has, For Awhile Now...Despite that, his Chin is Undeniably STOUT...He just MIGHT have a GREAT Chin...

Carlos Quintana ISN'T a Bad Puncher, Either...& Even Though he Hit Williams AT WILL, there was Virtually NO Effect...

Pavlik WOULD have Proven the True QUALITY of Williams' Chin, 1 Way or the Other...Kirkland Would as Well...Even Cintron is a LEGIT Candidate to @ Least TEST Williams' Chin....

If Tommy Hearns had Paul Williams' CHIN, he'd have NEVER Lost a Fight...
