So blame his corner for bad advice, not the ref. Barrios got beat because he couldnt fight for 12 rounds. Juarez beat his head in.

Who gives a shit if Barrios was outclassing him. He got KTFO. Barrios could have looked like Larry Holmes, but Holmes didnt make a habit of fading down the stretch nd getting his ass beat on.

You don't think that having a ref trying to DQ you for no reason affects a fighter's behavior. He had very bad options get dq'd for fighting cleanly, allow the ref to take points for nothing and lose a decision, or try to knock the guy out which is the only way he could win. I guess we just have to disagree. I found the conduct of the officials in Texas to be "Germanic" in nature. The whole telecast was disgusting.

I did not see a single foul the entire fight, not a single legitimate low blow.

I don't think many other people did either. The point deductions were completely unjustified

I lied. Katsidis is a poor man's gatti on his best day. I will say that I no longer think Juan Diaz will ever be an elite fighter. He just has horrificly poor power. He will never gain respect from an elite fighter, and his defense doesn't allow him to flourish on that stage.

I think either Pacquiao or Guzman or Casa or any other top 135lber will beat him up good.

That's true - but Juarez was 1 1/2 rounds away from potentially losing that fight.

The other point is that Barrios looked ready to go as of the 8th round or so....and Juarez did nothing until the 11th. There were plenty of holes there early.

Juarez did what he needed to do, but it wasn't part of a plan specifically tailored for Barrios. Juarez will ALWAYS fight that same way.

If it works out - then great.

He is immensely frustrating to watch.

    Peace.

 Beyond using the jab and moving more; Barrios fought the way he always does.

He's ALWAYS had a high workrate, and he almost always struggles with stamina late.

He normally doesn't look as bad late as he did on Saturday, and some of that needs to be laid at Rocky's door. Rocky could have/should have gotten him out of there earlier.

    Peace.
