You've got to love UFC matchmaking. Obviously this fight was a shot for the title, but neither Chuck or Rashad deserve it right now. I'm glad Chuck got knocked out though. I think it has more to do with his lack of technique than it does his age. It was easy to see that his boxing technique sucked, but it took a while for fighters to capitalize on it...

You really got to give it to the UFC with The Ultimate Fighter series. They really did make these guys stars and they really made that show legit.

I think an argument can be made for Rashad deserving a title shot....but I think Jackson or Machida should of got the title shot first. The UFC wants Griffen champ as long as possible and they feel picking Rashad is a safe fight for him IMO I think Sugar Evans takes him.

Really? I don't see this going to the ground much unless Rashad decides to take it there because I don't see FG taking him down.

FG is good.. Evans did very well saturday but he capitalized on a wild swinging bar room brawler basically.. FG is not that at all

Let's be honest, Griffin already beat a guy (Jackson) who stopped Liddell with one punch. There's no reason he can't do it again with Evans. And realistically, Jackson is far more physically imposing than Evans.

I think Griffin will be under estimated by fans as long as he fights. He's just a well-rounded guy that doesn't scare anyone with one particular skill. I would pick Griffin against Evans without hesitation.

That being said, I think Jackson or Lyoto should have the first crack at Griffin.

Co sign. I didn't see anything special about Evans but then again neither did Chuck until he saw the replay:lol:\

Evans has a boring style, even though he scored the one punch KO.

That one punch makes people forget that Evans lost the first round and basically did nothing. And I will call bullshit if anyone claims Evans' strategy was to land one big punch.

I agree that in the first round Evans didn't do much. However, in the second round he was getting to Liddell and was winning the round up until the KO.

I don't disagree at all. I think the second was still close until the KO.

Yeah, but you could apply the same logic before Jackson fought Griffin.

If Jardine can beat him, so can Jackson.

I'm not saying Griffin can't get stopped like he did against Horn or Jardine. All I'm saying, is I think it is tougher to do now than it was 2 years ago.

I agree. MMA is an ever changing sport. Guys get tons better in the blink of an eye, and others get brutally worse as well. Then you also have the one punch wonders that make there splash, Serra is a perfect example. Just because Jardine beat Griffin, does not mean anyone else can beat him. Just as Griffin beating Jackson doesn't mean the same. It just goes to show that elite fighters in MMA are just very vulnerable to a loss or upset. Its just the nature of the sport. It makes fights very interesting.

    Evans is Spectacularly UNspectacular...

UNTIL the Moment he Actually DOES Something, Evans is MUNDANE...It's STRANGE that a Guy like that is Undefeated...

Sure, the Tito & Bisping Fights were CLOSE, but it's Not like Rashad Got Dominated by Either Guy...

Forrest Griffin is More EXCITING than Evans, but he's ALSO a Guy that ISN'T Really Impressive UNTIL the Moment he Actually Does Something...

This Fight Can Go EITHER WAY...

the best part of UFC is they ride chucks cock for 10 minutes leading into the fight, and during the entire fight, up until the moment chuck gets put to sleep.

during the jackson fight like 30 seconds before chuck goes to sleep, rogan screams BOOOOM on some punch that didnt land.

I agree that Chuck being jock ridden really makes the UFC look bad.. it's good for the game that he got stretched

Wow I am surprised so many people are picking Rashad. He's not that good.

Griffin is better than many of us thought.

He can beat Jackson but can't beat Evans? Jackson is a much better fighter than Evans.

    Totally agREED...

Rampage IS a More Talented Fighter, but Rashad's More STEADY...Rampage is the Guy that'll Run a Couple Miles FEWER than he's Supposed to, Spar a Couple Rounds FEWER than he's Supposed to & Sneak Away & Party MORE than he's Supposed to, All while TRAINING for a Fight...

REED has No EVIDENCE 2 Support this; it's More of an OBVERSATION...REED Knows Rampage's "Type" VERY Well...

The SUCCESS that Came w/Taking Chuck's Title Actually HURT Rampage the Fighter...Mentally, Rashad is Better EQUIPPED to Handle Success, than Rampage is...

Might've been better if they didn't throw Rampage on that crappy ass Ultimate Fighter Show, leading to 10 months of inactivity on his part.

Did you see Rogan interviewing Randy Couture in the audience? I seriously thought Joe was going to kiss him. He looked like a hyperactive kid on a sugar IV.
