:: well I only watched that fight live but I don't recall soto doing much, and at most he won 4 rounds. its "arguable" the cowgirls had the most talented team in the league with all those pro bowlers and whatnot. then again they haven't won a big game in a dozen years. shall we refer to them as the Dallas Guzmans?
This post is funny. Really funny in fact. Chad Dawson on Guzmans level. LOL. Junior Witter are you kidding me Witter has little skill. Bradley sure ain't on his level. Peterson sure ain't on his level at least yet. Manny is the only fighter who you can claim to be on Guzmans level although i would say that Guzman has much better defence, way better balance. Guzman is probably faster but Pac has more power. Remember i said talent and not accomplishments because it's obvious Pac is above Guzman in terms of accomplishments and on P4P lists.
People get confused with the difference of talent and potential and accomplishments. Being talented doesn't always mean that you are good or you will live up to your potential. Reggie Bush is a perfect example of this. Insane talent but shitty numbers so far.
Which AGAIN, Makes REED Wonder WHAT EXACTLY has YOU Referring to Guzman as "The Shit"???:dunno:... Thus Far, ALL Guzman has Shown is "Talent", Against a DECENT Level of Opposition @ Best...Unless, of Course, U're about to Nuthug Soto & Barrios as Well... REED::
Only 1 Laughing is YOU, the 1 Guy who CAN'T Speak OBJECTIVELY on Guzman... EVERY Guy REED just Named is @ Least AS TALENTED as Guzman...@ BEST, Guzman is UNPROVEN & CAN'T even Make Up his Mind on what Weight Class he Wants to Campaign @... Yet U're ALREADY Giving him Floyd's Spot... Nice!!!... REED:hammert:
REED Understands WHAT U're Saying...But REED is STILL Trying to Figure Out HOW U Came to that Conclusion... REED:dunno:
bush had a very good rookie year and looks to be off to an excellent season this year. by the way, humberto soto is not an "excellent" fighter, in my book.
Hand speed, Foot speed, Defence, Co-ordination, Upper body movement, Chin, Balance, and Technique. The logical way to come to a talent conclusion.
AGAIN, U Could Apply YOUR Same "Logic" to Guys like Manny Pac, Anthony Peterson, Junior Witter, Tim Bradley or Chad Dawson... Or JM Marquez...Shit, N Terms of Pure NATURAL Talent, Ricky Hatton has Shown AS MUCH as Guzman has, Against a HIGHER Level of Opposition...He Doesn't APPLY his Talent N the Same Manner, but Hatton CERTAINLY has Exhibited "Hand Speed, Foot Speed, Coordination, Upper Body Movement, Balance, etc, etc" N his Career... It's YOUR Prerogative to B a Guzman Fanboy, but U're SEVERELY OVERRATING him if U Think he's THE MOST Talented Guy Out there, N Floyd's Absence... REED:kidcool:
He never said skill, he said talent. Your overrating of Guzman is obscene. He is fast and flashy, but he is not that talented or skilled, and hasn't even proven his talent at the highest level. His talent level is not even close to Floyd's, or Pacman's for that matter.
He is fast and flashy but he is not that talented or skilled. Can you translate this so i can understand this please.
:boohoo: Whatever, Dude... U KNOW EXACTLY What REED Said...JUXTAPOSING REED's Words for YOUR OWN Benefit ISN'T Making your Original Point Any Less IDIOTIC... REED:kidcool:
Yeah i know what you said. Then i countered what you said. Now you countered with a weakass comeback. In Floyds words this is easy work.
Sure, basically some fighters that are fast and flashy tend to look better than they really are, and sometimes equates to style over substance. A good example is Amir Khan, he has a fast, flashy, but amateurish style, and clearly he is style over substance, as was evidenced by his recent brutal knockout loss. Zab Judah too. Fast and flashy, but has proven to NOT be an elite fighter. Guzman is the same. Fast and flashy, but doesn't have the sort of depth to his style and versatility of someone like Floyd, or even the pure natural talent, and combination of speed and power that someone like Pacman possesses.
Nah, U Completely LIED about what REED Said...REED Said 1 Thing, then U Accused REED of Saying Something TOTALLY DIFFERENT... U COULDN'T Talk a Hooker OUT of her Panties, Much Less DEBATE BOXING w/REED, Scrub... U're On BOTH Knees, Straw N Hand, WILLINGLY Drinking from the Ballsack of a Guy that DOESN'T even have a SIGNATURE Win, Much Less an Actual WEIGHT CLASS (Is Guzman a Jr Feather, Jr Lightweight, Lightweight, Heavyweight, Superheavyweight or WHAT???:dunno: )... Yet U Expect Us to Believe that HE's THE most TALENTED GUY Out There, Other than Floyd???... Yeah, O.K.... REED:kidcool:
Errr...agree Floyd is more talented; disagree that Pacman is way more talented than Guzman. Joan's problem isn't talent - he is extremely athletically gifted. On par here with Floyd et al. It's also not really skill - when he wants to be he can be fundamentally sound. Of course he shows technical flaws/mistakes from being unorthodox...but compensates for them with speed, reflexes and foot movement. But this relates to his real problem... His problem is mental fortitude/focus, his attitude...and his level of dedication. I do agree with you, though, that oftentimes flashiness and speed is mistaken for skill or boxing technique and those are not the same thing. Peace.
.... Is natural power not a talent? Guzman's hands are not really any quicker than Pacquiao's and he certainly don't hit as hard. Guzman is more skilled than Pacquiao but more talented? I don't think so.
guzman is an hybrid of Toney and Castillo. he's kinda black but hispanic and he likes to overeat and not make weight.
Natural power absolutely is a talent, and that's why Pacman is the more talented of the 2. He is faster, a lot more powerful, has good movement, very quick in out movement and strafing, excellent timing, accuracy etc. He is more talented than Guzman. Guzman is cuter and slicker if you shall, but more talented? No.
Lie about what exactly. Your the one getting it twisted like im calling Guzman the best fighter out there now Floyd is gone. I don't understand what weight has to do with anything. What weight was Floyd in recent years a 135lb fighter, a 140lb fighter a 147lb fighter a 154lb fighter. He changed weights as frequently as Guzman did. I doubt you will hold that against Floyd so why hold that shit against Guzman.
