He should have had a W against Pac in March. Hell get a W over Pac if Pac fights him after he fights Oscar.

One or two more big wins at 135...and he could end up at #1 p4p w/out having to bother again with Pacquiao....ALOT of good fights at 135...Baby Fat, Campbell, Guzman..etc...

We've known it for years, Marquez really is grade-A technician.

Guy has a great knack for adapting, and it showed.

He has good pop in his punches, but what he really can hurt you with is accuracy, snap and compactness.

Plus, while Casa had the straight left, it was pretty obvious JMM didn't respect it as much as he respected Pacman's version.

Not he is not, Pacman is.

    Pacman 2-0 Marquez.

I said that in the RbR thread. He was nowhere near as weary of Hole's straight left as he was Pacquiao's lethal left cross.

I do think there is an argument for Marquez in the top 3 though P4P.

Yeah he's the best fighter in the world because he beat the same guy that Santa Cruz beat.

After Guzman of course. Fatty Guzman's make believe victory over Nate and his legendary talent trumps Marquez' KO over Hole :kidcool:

i thought he won 8 rounds vs. pacquiao and he just became the first guy to stop a guy who's easily one of the best 130, 135 pounders in the last decade or so. the fact that marquez himself is past his prime and was entering a new weight class, it's hard not to consider him as one of the best in the world if not the best.

Marquez wasn't a 4-1 favorite because of how highly regarded Casamayor currently is. No, a win over Casamayor doesn't make someone PFP #1. Especially when he is 1-1 in his last 2 fights.

You can't judge JMM by his record. Judges determined that, and it could have gone either way with the Pacquio fight(s).

That's right, and he lost a close fight. The fact is JMM doesn't have a resume fitting of being PFP #1 in the world.

I have always liked Marquez and posts like this is why I hate on him. He beat an overrated and old as fuck dirty stinkbag. This was one of my favorite moments in history. I detest cacapeor but I knew this lunacy would be brought up. Great win and great fight.

News flash. Pacman beat Marquez not so long ago. If the judges had said Mariconquez had won I would say great. It was a close fight, unlike the first in which queerboy got a gift. He lost. Man I hate fanboys. Ridiculous. Where do you rank Santa Cruz then?He beat the piss out of Cacapeor too?

Marquez beat the one trick pony twice. It's a fucking disgrace that Pacquiao has the judges in his pocket because he makes so much money for boxing. The fact is that in the first fight he was down 3 points and came back and schooled the pony for the remainder of the fight. The second fight he totally outclassed that bumb and was robbed again. I say Marquez should never fight Pacman because he won't get a fair shake.

    MARQUEZ IS PACMAN'S DADDY!

If you lose fair and square that's fine. But how the fuck did Marquez school the pony, gave that bum a boxing lesson, and still lose both fights. Second fight wasn't even close. Take off your Pacman glasses and watch the second fight again. Marquez clowned that fool. I can't wait til De La Hoya beats the stuffing out of the midget.

Roach should be ashamed for convincing Pacquiao to fight De La Hoya. I know he's going to get a huge payday, Roach I mean, but Pacquiao is going to take a serious beating. I hope he has good medical coverage.

People have no problems making Pac the best p4p fighter off of beating David Diaz.
