no he didn't 'lose' it. 3 fat guys said he did and I be damned if I see any reason to give any more weight to their subjective opinion (with all the agendas & pressures that shape them) than to anyone else's. Frankly I'll make MY list based on MY score cards and dsimon should make his based on his own.

ye ye Marquez gets one little break in his career and people are all over his nuts... Marquez was always the most loved guy on internet message boards...

You must really have a hard time finding reasons to hate on fighters.

I agree that Pacman deserves to be in front of him, though and although i really liked his whole gameplan yesterday it rubs me the wrong way to rank Marquez even no. 2.

So this guy is the second best boxer in the world??? Hell Bumtsidis was more decisive early on...

That's nothing to bang your head on the wall for, man! :cheer:

Roy's resume also wasn't the best in the sport, but he had this WOA factor which is missing for me with Marquez.

Exactly!!! I am not saying that Marquis won or lost.... Hut Hut described perfectly my feeling. The bottom line is that JM fought 3 close hellacious battles with Pacquio, another great fighter. In all those fights they could have gone either way. I said so much in the last decision and think so now.

Thats nice but it does not mitigate the point Hut Hut made. If you are simple minded enough to let the judges have the final word this way then God Bless you.

The fact is it was a close fight and JMM lost. Spin it however you want but that's how it is.

Yes, but reactions like yours and FreeIke's make me think you really don't like Marquez all that much.

If we want to be really fair about it, it is only very recently that JMM has any kind of following or respect on the boards (these or any other).

Up until relatively recently (very recently considering boxing) he was considered boring; too patient; a choker; blah, blah, blah. Even after the first Pacquiao fight, he didn't get much respect.

And his supposed "fans" aren't nearly as delusional or dogmatic as those of the Trinidad, Jones, Mayweather, DLH, etc. camps.

You'd think JMM was one of those guys by your reaction.

    Peace.

You can't toss comments out like that without any context, brother Val.

That said, I don't think JMM is #1 PxP.

    Peace.

3 fat guys said Holyfield scored a draw with Lennox Lewis, that Santa Cruz didn't beat Casamayor, Hearns didn't beat Leonard in the rematch, or that Roy Jones lost in the Olympics. Fuck that, Marquez is the man and he proved it again. Good fighter who deserves a few good pay days along with the status of being one of the best. I'm not saying he's #1, but he's up there.

I would also like to add to the Marquez Maricones, his legion of homosexual fans, that Marquez lost LEGITIMATELY to chris John. P4P by left ball. He is a great fighter. I always felt he was a better fighter than Barrera. The Marquez Maricones make me sick. If you listen to them, Pacman never landed a punch on their gay hero much less dropping him 4 times in 24 rounds and giving him free plastic surgery.:lol:

YOU DID? I felt that "fight" was so poor it really could have gone either way. If I had been there, I would ave fined both and called it a nc. Don't tell the Marquez Maricones that though. To them, it was Lewis Holyfield I TYPE OF THEFT mixed with Gatti/Ward 1 TYPE OF ACTION.

Your posts are funny. I like JMM but he is far from my favourite fighter. He is the best active fighter right now.

No way Chris John beat him and i have watched the 2nd fight between Marquez and Pac 4 times and still can't give Pac 6 rounds minimum which he would need for a win.

These forums are dead right now so i don't get where all these Marquez Maricons fans are.

Mariconquez did good for himself last night, excellent fight. :bears:

Just remember why he was called blockhead after the first Pacquiao fight, add the famous pictures and there really is no need to wonder why people dislike the guy.

Well he didn't do it so that he could become p4p #1 on some icon list, that much is for certain

i lovehow all the Marquez Maricones come onto the thread and deny their tootsie rolled stained leader's cock three times. I am not a Marquez fans:lol::lol:Softies. Anyone that thinks Marquez beat Pacman twice is a member of the Marquez Maricones. The second gayest bandwagon in boxing next to the roid nutticks.

I am a fan of marquez and have always admired his ability.

however, unless you already considered the guy the best I don't see how beating an ancient casamayor as something impressive to elevate him to a new plateau

He should have had 2 W's over Pac already

The first fight was 11-1 Marquez minus a few knockdowns...

I thought he beat Pacquiao twice already as well.

however debating those fights are fucking annoying already.

same here same sentiment as well.

It sort of stood to reason that Marquez's straighter faster punches would land before the bald Cuban's punches. Then you get guys coming on here and saying that somehow Casamayor will change that equation and find a way to win. :notallthere:

No. It does not work that way....
