Top Rank signs Korobov

    Matvey Korobov signed with Top Rank and according to fxxxxxnews, he will be on a jcc jr card coming up.

    He was my favorite amateur, but lost to the 2004 barker winner artayev 10-7 in this year's olys. (fair enough decision with the shit scoring in the olys this year)

    Very, very good fighter and I'm glad he'll get us tv even if I'm not generally a big top rank fan.

    I liked Korobov in the Olympics...but the Russian is kind of a surprising signing for Top Rank, IMO.

    Not really. It was bound to happen sooner or later with the thin american talent pool. At some point the promoters would have to be fed up with the european promoters getting all the talent.

    I'm not surprised it happened with an American promoter...it's that it was Top Rank.

    Cameron Duncan signed him...so it shouldn't be TOO surprising.
