You guys think you're pretty fit cause you can run a few miles. You guys ever seen the kind of running Fedor does? None of you guys would last even 1/10 of the sh*t he puts himself through. Dude runs up the mountains, through the most f*cked up conditions and weather, through the worst terrain. And when he's done running and puking, he runs some more. Usually up to 20 miles through the worst sh*t including waist high snow.
That's what you gotta do when you wanna be the baddest motherf*cker walking the earth. Those NFL fags couldn't come close.

Well, within a month or two, I plan on getting my mile down to 7 minutes or so. I'm gonna try for 5 and a half minutes by spring. It really shocks the system because I was just dying yesterday when I only sped up by half a mile per hour. We'll see how it goes at lunchtime today. I plan on getting at least 8:15.

You guys are going to experience massive knee and shin damage in your late 40s.

I doubt it. I'm using a treadmill and wearing Asics gel shoes. Plus, I stretch and cool down afterwards. It's as safe as I can make it without running on dry grass, and I won't be able to do that during the winter. The treadmill absorbs the impact a lot more than a standard outdoor track or even a road or sidewalk.

8 minutes 35 seconds. It took a few seconds to spped up, and then I did 7mph for the first 6 minutes and 7.1 for the last minute and a half. I know I can go faster, and this is just the beginning so I'm not going to hurt myself. I felt a bit of soreness in the achilles tendon and area around my ankle, but that is because I normally run heel-toe, heel-toe, heel-toe for the longer runs.

Today I was running on the front part of my foot as opposed to the heels. I was pretty tired when I was finishing, but it is just a case of getting used to that faster speed. I was a bit winded towards the end, but I could have gone farther.

Good stuff. Next up is running the full thing at 7.1, then 7.2, 7.3, and so on and so on.

Be careful! I've been battling micro-tears in my achilles for years now, and I don't think it is something that will ever totally heal. I have no problem on a bike, rowing maching, or doing weight bearing exercises at all. But I'm guaranteed to have a lock-up shortly after starting a running program, no matter how much I stretch, warm up, cool down, walk or build up to running.

Well, I am thinking about whether I should just try to cut my time down each time, or whether I should maintain my time each week and then try to kick my speed up a notch the following week, in a similar style to the Grease the Groove philosophy that I use with chins and handstand pushups. I'll see how I feel, but I am positive I'll be able to improve on that time by a fair degree.

He actually does. And because he CAN while ripping your face off at the same time. And when you're dying for oxygen after spending 30 seconds on a single routine Fedor does daily including his mountain running, then talk sh*t, mr Lean Body. Being lean don't mean a f*cking thing. You're still not an athlete. You wouldn't even last a minute in the octagon doing basic MMA sparring.
And besides, how is your ass being lean gonna save you from getting your asshole eaten alive?

Yeah but you already got a history of jacked up knees and back, LOK. That sh*t will get worse as you abuse your body over the years. Might feel ok now. But as our bodies deteroriate as we age, you're gonna feel it in those particular areas a lot more.

I think once I had a sore knee.. lol

you even said.. if you "abuse" your body..

running a mile is far from ABUSE

I'd go so far as to say NOT running is abuse

Hanzy, this is a mile thread, not a Fedor eating your asshole alive thread. If you want one of those threads, since it's not fitness, please start it in TAAA or smacktalk. In other words, stick to exercise talk.

It IS fitness. You guys were talking about running and I was telling Massacure that Fedor does the most intense kind of running known to man in the worst conditions. Which is why he can go all out in a 25 minute fight while the average cunt would be dying for air within 15 seconds, and that includes most pro athletes. That's all I was saying.

That has nothing to do with people here sharing their running times. Obviously we aren't elite athletes. Last warning and then you're gone for two or three days. I'm being patient.

You did get a challenge from Royce though. I know for sure. But you were scared I think. No big deal LOK. I'd be scared too. 99% of people in the world would be scared. That includes those NFL bums.

So then go talk to Massacure. He's the one who disrespected first.
