    I don't understand. How do they come up with $17Mill in ticket sales if most of the tickets are comped?

    Are they just adding up the face value of all the tickets printed and throwing out a number to market the fight for the rest of us assholes?

    The casino's purchase the tickets then give them to high rollers...the key is they PURCHASE the tickets. Plus, DLH and Pacquaio will get a block of tickets as well.

    Thomas Hauser wrote an article late last year or early this year regarding Mayweather-Hatton and how both guys got a huge alottment of tickets then sold above face value.

    Hatton got something like $3 million in tickets, raised the price by 30% then sold to his Brit fans...he pocketed the difference...very interesting article.

    So, if the news is even remotedly accurate, this is a fight that people want. It is a crap event for sure, but top level boxing is entertainment business and nothing else, and this shows that people care more about events and stories than actual boxing.

    I wonder if they pulled episodes of "24/7" and checked to see if Floyd paid taxes on his gambling winnings he's so proud of.
