Clottey is extremely overrated, and Paul will expose him as such. If the fight comes off, Williams will win going away.

It should be a good action fight. I don't think either have enough power to KO the other.

Williams won't take this fight, I think he already ducked Clottey once, and for good reason. He don't want none.

:lol:Williams would beat the dogshit out of Clottey. He'd win ever round on the scorecards on all three. Clottey is made for Williams. He throws 15 punches a round. Williams would out land him by as many punches as Clottey would throw. Easy, easy, easy fight for Williams.

We'll see. When Paul comes in thinking he's a knockout artist and Clottey enlightens him to the truth. I bet you Williams will come up with some excuse not to take this fight. He'll talk the talk but won't walk the walk.

Williams has been pretty ballsy thus far. People like to forget they said butMargarito really was feared and Williams shit talked and beat him. I have no doubt that Paul would fight Pavlik or anyone else. Have you heard that country motherfucker. He is too stupid to duck anyone.:lol:

It's not that I think he's scared but Clottey he'll probably look at as all risk and not enough reward even if it is for the belt. Or either he'll just hold out til he gets the Margarito rematch.

Meanwhile even if they do fight each other they'll never completely get to unify because Berto's going to sit on his belt like a hen on an easter egg.

Clottey throws one punch every 30 seconds. That's no way to beat the punisher who throws punches like a windmill. He will get back into his shell like he did against marge.

williams would be open all day for clottey to land counters. it would be a competitive fight. I don't care about the belts I'd rather see those two fight at 154 where neither has to kill themselves to make weight.

I like this fight, and I like both fighters, the long limbed skittle knipper will wind up Clottey though, making a sound like a xylaphone plump with his soft twirling pedipalps, which concurs with an ever present hum like that of friction on crystal glass, we know it's coming from Paul aswell, but we dont know where or why.

If this fight comes off I predict Williams to STOP CLOTTEY!!!! It won't go past 10 rounds! :partie: Williams is now sitting down on his punches and seems much more controlled. Clottey is going to get stopped!

I see this fight going 12 rounds...and not very exciting 12 rounds...

I rather see Williams vs. Cintron

I think we can all agree allot of good fights can be made! The problem is are the fighters/Promoters willing to take the risk? That's the problem. Most of the fighters don;t want to take the RISK. Like Williams Trainer said in a recent interview, them fighters need to join the girls scouts.

All I know is Williams better not end up fighting some stiff. Clottey is at the top of the division, he better take the fight. It's the next best thing to a Margarito rematch. He should fights, Clottey, Cintron, Cotto, Berto or Margarito.

Yeah, the problem for Clottey in this fight is he'd be reliant on judges that actually take the quality of landed punches into consideration, because with his defense I don't see Williams landing nearly as many punches as the post-fight tallies will indicate, and many of the ones he does land probably won't connect all that cleanly. Williams' volume will be a huge obstacle, and Clottey would be susceptible to falling significantly behind, like Margarito did...but Clottey's defense is pretty tight and Williams should give him plenty of opportunities to counter.

I'd be pretty shocked if that happened. Not only is Clottey very good defensively and hard to hit clean but he's pretty tough and seems to have a very good chin so far.

So you'd rather see a mismatch than a competitive fight? I thought 2 trouncings by Margarito would prove that Cintron is overrated and not an elite at 147.

Cintron IMHO is tuneup fodder for the best at 147. The Cotto's, Clottey's, Williamses would all leave him in a heap on the floor like somebody's dirty laundry.

Agreed. He gets a pass on the last 'can' he KO'd because it was at 160.

Even if a matchup with Clottey can't be secured, it's not as if there aren't other options. Team Williams should be able to get somebody respectable between 147-154 even if a lot of guys don't really want that fight.

I hope Wililams/Clottey gets made. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't. Especially when Williams claims nobody will fight him at 147 this fight makes sense.

I think it has more to do with no one believing Arum would make the fight...making it more of a mythical match-up.

Well, if the fight is made I'll watch it, but, as a Cotto fan, it isn't a fight I'm too anxious to see. I think Williams would beat Cotto very convincingly... :crying:
