    Oscar will continue career!
During his NYC presser to announce his December 6 clash with Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya announced that the Pacquiao bout will not be his last after all. "There's no doubt about it. My mind can still do it, my body can still do it. I'm going to ride the wave for a little while." Pacquiao stated "Some people say I'm picking this fight for the money. I'm going to prove everyone wrong."

Best start making plans for cinco de mayo 2011, Oscar intends to "ride the wave" for as long as saps continue to shell out for it, I'm sure HBO are delighted

I'd really like to see Pacquaio KTFO him. If that doesn't happen maybe Pavlik can turn him into a temporary vegetable.

I think this is most likely

DLH whups Pac midget and then Tito and DLH do it again

the buildup would be fun and they'd rake in tons of money

If the Tito fight happens that's cool, but if DLH fights Juan Manuel Marquez next:slap:

I hope Tito fights another fight or two and gets a crack at a light heavyweight title.

Nothing, and I do literally mean NOTHING, would be more amusing and deserving to my mind than the sight of Pac decapitating this self-important piece of shit. Each day he continues to live is a day longer than I feel ought be allowed frankly.

The half-assed express will roll on. :bears:

This is the best thing to happen to the sport since JCC's goodbye tour.

I say we end up with a Hatton-DLH match in May 2009, then a DLH-Chavez Jr. match in September.

I'd be rooting for Chavez Jr for the first time ever.

I think Trinidad and De La Hoya is always possible simply for the amount of money that would be on the table.

Problem there is the WEIGHT... Will Oscar want to move up to 165 or something.

I've always had some doubt about the possibility of a Trinidad rematch.

As faded, bloated, and inactive as Trinidad has become, he's still simiarly sized, and still has his left hook...and DLH's aged and become much more stationary as a fighter (in part, because of Mayweather Sr.'s training) since the first time around.

My guess is DLH respects Trinidad more as an opponent than many others do.

Word on the street says De La Hoya is trying to lure Ricardo Lopez out of retirement for a Sinco De Mayo fight.

... only after discovering that Chiquita Gonzalez, in his much heavier state today, is already too close to the Oscarweight limit, therefore not worth the risk.
