Junie, Junie, Junie:doh: REED WANTS to Like this Cat & he Showed ALOT of Talent EARNING His Way into the House, but Dude is Making it VERY Difficult for Dana White to Keep him Around... Best Believe, if Junie COULDN'T Fight, Dana White Would've RIGHTFULLY Sent his Ass Packing on Last Night's Show...White can B an Arrogant PRICK, but REED Gives him CREDIT for Giving Junie a 2nd Chance... But NOW, Junie's Fucking THAT Up:doh:... Junie INITIATES Confrontations w/Guys, then Gets PISSED when Somebody Says Something Back or Stands-Up to Him:boohoo:...It's Almost a BULLY Mentality than Junie Has... Junie was Talking SHIT to Efrain, Telling Efrain How BORING his Fight was Going to B & How he DIDN'T have Any Submission Skills...So Efrain Points Out that he's Made Junie TAP N Practice & Junie Gets PISSED & Wants to Fight him Right THEN & THERE???:dunno:...Dude, YOU Instigated that Situation & Verbally Put Efrain on the DEFENSIVE, so DON'T Get Pissy when he RETALIATES... Then AFTER Efrain Makes Junie's Homey TAP N their Fight, Junie Gets PISSED, Climbs N the Cage & Wants to Fight him???....GROWthefuckUP, Dog:boohoo: The Only POSITIVE is that Junie's Put his Name "Out There" to the Degree that ANY MMA Organization would Want him, but he's Fucking Up his Chances of EVER Competing N the UFC... & it's 100% HIS OWN Fault... REED:hammert:
I don't watch TUF anymore but I know that TUF is edited and scripted very much like the WWE. So what we're watching is not at all genuine. It's mostly an act with a little bit of improvision. Just like most reality shows.
U REALLY Think So???:dunno:... It Seems Pretty GENUINE to REED... Just Last Night, Junie Threw his Drinking Glass @ a Dude & it VISIBLY CUT the Dude's Arm... Do U Think the CAGE FIGHTING is "Scripted" as Well or just the In-House Fighting???... REED:dunno:
I'm not enjoying this season as much as I have previous ones. I know it's still early, but to me they should've titled this season as 'People I wouldn't want to hang out with'. I understand the need for dramatic TV, but when you bring in these babies that can't hold their liquor and make asses out of themselves week after week, it looks bad for the sport. They should be trying to promote MMA as a sport with dignity and honor, not a sport filled with arrogant dumb jocks who act like babies. And have Nog and especially Mir been non factors or what? You barely even see them. I'll still watch, but I'm hoping it picks up. TFK
Cage fighting is real, in-house material has been influenced by the producers in order to make for entertaining television. Just like if fightbeat had it's own reality show consisting of fightbeat members living in a house for a week, I'd f*ck around and make enemies of everybody just so people who watch me on tv will vote for me. Come on Reed, don't you know show biz? You gotta rock the boat to get noticed. Be different, be unique. Why do you think that wheneve you watch WWE wrestling, it was ALWAYS the guys who could work a mic and had charisma who ended up holding the titles and working the main events? The TUF series is like any other show out there. Some is improvised but they've been directed for the most part in how to act and what to say to make for good ratings.
I havent been able to watch this years TUF, but it has to be better than the last season. None of those guys could fight, they were the worst crop of fighters I've seen in the shows history.
That's why I no longer watch it. It's garbage television suited for the trash of the trash Jerry Springer type audience. Most of these tattooed UFC f*ckfaces on the show are drop outs and troublemakers, criminals and delinquents. They can't find a job in the real world because of their criminal records so fighting is their only way out. Except for the fact that MAYBE 1 out of those pricks will make any kind of decent living in MMA while the rest will be back to working security at the bars. You had that other piece of crap Kendall Grove, a former TUF winner who couldn't do sh*t in MMA. Fool gets KTFO time and time again and they keep giving him chances.::
Nobody's gonna give a sh*t about the Mir/Nog fight when it eventually happens. There's no real vendetta there between them like there was between Hughes and Serra who both genuinely hated eachother and still do. They hatred stemmed long before they even began filming that show with Serra continuously taking shots at Hughes.
Not every fight needs a vendetta. MMA is not pro wrestling. Two of the best heavyweight BJJ practioners facing off against each other is all the appeal I need. TFK
Very true, it's an interesting fight for sure. I don't really think Mir deserves the shot but it's a good fight.
I think the reason we're seeing so much of the house drama is exactly because the fact that Mir and Nog just aren't entertaining or charismatic guys.
:: But Mir beat Brock. And Brock is getting a title shot against the real champ Couture while Mir gets a shot at the interim champ Noguira.
Reality shows are all about drama and relationships. In the UFC's case, fights are marketed through bad blood and vendettas. And Nog/Mir aren't producing this hence the ppv buys will reflect the lack of interest in this fight ultimately when it comes to pass. Also take note that Noguira has not even fought since February. 8 months now of inactivity. This show is pointless. They should NOT have current champions participating in the TUF reality show. It should be a platform for other fighters in contention who should fight amongst themselves to get a shot at the UFC champ. Putting guys like Quinton Jackson on this show was a lot of crap. The dude got out of shape from all those months of inactivity. Too much time on the shelf filming a reality show.
MMA is more like Pro Wrestling than MMA fans want to admit, sure its not predetermined like WWE but it sure as helll being promoted like it ,which is why MMA will never get the same respect as other sports....hell Brock Lesnar for example,he's getting a title shot because he's "over" with the fans ..now thats some WWE shit there.
Yep. Too true. The UFC is a slightly more realistic version of the WWE and they're catering to the same audience. And with rumours of Petruzelli getting paid under the table to give Kimbo a better chance, I just wonder how much more of this sh*t is going on in MMA, especially with other factors included where it was said that Pride also was involved in match-fixing. This is awful what's happening to the sport. And the tattooed miscreants known as 'fighters' on the TUF reality show with their behaviour and disrespect shown towards eachother and the sport itself is not helping. This is becoming a 'trash' sport geared towards a trash audience of Jerry Springer/WWE types.
Do you watch boxing? It's the same type of shit. You have guys like Mayorga in boxing. Fights at press confrences, it's not as if Boxing is much better in that respect. You just said in another post you wern't interested in Mir Vs Nog because there was no bad blood between the two. Now you're complaining about these type of antics?
Didn't say that I personally wasn't interested in Mir/Nog. I'm saying the fans who watch TUF won't be interested in the Nog/Mir fight like they were for Griffin/jackson and Pierre/Hughes, etc. I was against the idea because it doesn't make sense for a titleholder to be filming a show and being out of action for a year. Also, the antics of these young dudes on TUF is appealing to the trash who watch the show. The TUF noobs as they're referred to who think they can execute a kimura cause they saw some dude on TUF do it.::
I never would've used the word "slightly" in the past. But now I'm getting the notion that some fighters are being paid under the table to make fights either 'close' or to be more entertaining, meaning discard their natural tendencies for the sake of entertaining the fans. Pride has been accused of match-fixing and here again, Petruzelli went on record and said he was paid by the promoters to make it a more even fight against Kimbo.
It looked like It was Kimbo who took a dive, there's no way in hell that right hand landed with any authority.
:: It did. Maybe he indeed took a dive to sell the BIGGEST REMATCH IN MMA HISTORY!!! Hence, Elite's next show will see ratings skyrocket!
Yeah, having the goose that lays the golden eggs filleted on National TV, that's exactly what EliteXC wanted. TFK
A f*cking internet bum fighter is the golden goose for EliteXC! That's the most hilarious thing in all of this. ::
It's just like anything else in the world. The no talent hacks on American Idol sell millions of records while truly talented bands go unsigned. Ben Stiller makes millions in Hollywood while good actors struggle to get work in commercials. Either Obama or McCain are gonna be president, and Ron Paul is on the outside looking in. This world is far from just. TFK
I know all that. But in the case of EliteXC, it was inevitable. Resting their laurels on one guy who has less knowledge of mma than most dudes posting on a message board was just a disaster waiting to happen. It all seemed like a Get Rich Quick type of scheme in the case of Elite.
I have no clue about fixed fights or payoffs to keep fights competitive, but I do know it's moronic to claim that MMA fights are only 'slightly' more realistic than a sport where every outcome is admittedly pre-determined. That's like saying boxing is only slightly more realistic than Rocky movies. We know corruption and fight-fixing is nothing new to boxing. So based on your rationale, boxing is only slightly more realistic than the WWE. If you agree with that then we have no disagreement.
