what happened in the fight was what i fear would happen....fucking BERNARD HOPKINS is GREAT...hate to say it...but it's true...that old fuck!!!..it wasn't till a few hours before the fight that i started thinking...Hopkins is still bigger/stronger than Pavlik...and those were Pavliks main strength vs. HOpkins...excluding his youth....still went with Pavlik though....

 

what a masterpiece.. Hops now IMO.. is in the top 5 fighters of all time

Hopkins' hooks were pretty important too Sly, but I give you props, nice prediction. I've rarely been more impressed by a fighter than I've been last night, Hopkins is the greatest fighter of his generation.

I don't think Hopkins could have made 160, but with the way Hopkins dominated last night, I have a hard time seing a Pavlik win, under any condition. You may think that weight was a factor in hindsight but Pavlik was a 4-1 favourite, it's not like everything was against him, Hopkins proved a lot of people wrong, he fought brilliantly.

 

Pavlik is a HUGE guy. Fighting at 170 wouldn't have hurt him. Besides anyway...because of styles...it wouldn't matter what weight they fought at.
