First I want to thank everyone for their patience. What happened this week was terrible and somehow self inflicted. Some sort of software that I had on the site was causing the CPU to act erratic and sending it bad signals. That's why the site was sometimes very slow. Secondly, they asked me for a backup and unfortunately I did not have one!!! So our webhost worked tirelessly for 5 days to actually restore all of the damaged data so that we wouldn't be at a loss. Also note that we've negotiate a deal with them so that we will now have a backup server in case of something like this every happening again. I want to thank the people at infinitie.net for their hard work and I can honestly recommend them as a web host to anybody out there who wants to deal with honest reliable people willing to go the extra mile for you. Thanks again and we look forward to providing you with the same service we have for the last 4-years. Regards, Carlos Guzman FightBeat.com
I thought Cupey was mister PC pro....:kick: More often than not, when you google what the issue is you usually have people who have had the same issue documented. I hate windows servers in particular. Hope everything stays running good man, sounds like you got a hosting company who will go the extra mile for ya. Good stuff.
I was speaking with the server guys myself, they told me there was only a 40-50% chance they would be able to restore the site. Glad to see we're back up and running.
right, so now you know how hard it was for them to pull off this miracle. Great staff at infinitie.net Cupey
Bitch, I'm going to interview Freddie Roach Tomorrow and then Vivian Harris, but you aren't invited now :fightme: Cupey
Wow. How do you get into this predicament? This has happened before for those who remember, and even a longer hiatus. I don't understand how you negotiate a deal NOW, why not before?
Tyler, I work in system administering for a hosting company. When your server has been down for a lengthly period when the company you are hosted with has a policy of a specific uptime they haven't met, the ball is in your court and yours to negotiate. They simply dont want to lose your business. Even if it is one or 2 servers. We want all customers to have a positive experience. They should have had monitoring to know your server is down though, and contact you promptly to resolve the issue. And they also should give an enticing credit for the future should you wish to stay with the company. Such is business.
The Fightbeat Server DOES have a tape drive Backup System. You can see it clearly in this picture.... TFK
