McCain Palin signs vandalized in Roanoke

As we get closer to election day, not everyone on both sides is playing fair.
Driving along Brambleton Avenue in Roanoke you will find a couple of large McCain-Palin signs that have been vandalized. The word Obama is spray painted over them.
Neighbors say it happened about a week ago. This is actually the second McCain sign for one of the families.
Amanda West says, “This is actually the second one that’s been here the first one got stolen and the second one when that was being put up we had people who support Obama drive by and shout things… you know I don’t know what. We actually had a letter dropped off by a woman who was an Obama supporter who said I don’t think it is right what was done.â€￾
Roanoke police tell 10 On Your Side that so far they have not gotten any reports of political signs being vandalized.

 

Head of Violent Obama Supporter Not Demanded by Fox News

The rotund gent you see at right is being indicted in the city of New York for snatching a McCain campaign sign from the hands of a middle-aged woman, snapping it in half and then punching the GOP supporter, who's been described as "small" and "quiet," in the face. Witnesses to the assault said the man gave no indication as to why he was attacking the lady, to whom he said only, "You people are ridiculous!"

The maniacs at Fox News have yet to make this their go-to story! That's right—the very same temperamental yutzes who went BALLISTIC when Newsweek did something as minor as not Photoshopping out of its cover Sarah Palin's wrinkles, haven't said more than a peep about this attack. Even Bill O'Reilly, the trashiest, bottom-feeding, raging hatemonger Fox has to offer, has somehow refrained from starting some lunatic campaign to boycott New York or whatever. What gives? Where's that famous Fox rage about Obama's godlike status? Where are those clucking ninnies on Fox and Friends pointing out that, unlike Palin supporters, who simply scream that they want to kill people, Obama nuts actually attempt to kill people?
Have the Foxy boxers lost their fight under the ever-growing shadow of an Obama win? Are they sitting on this story until November 5, at which point they'll say, "Look at the disgusting tactics Obama's supporters used on his goosestep to victory"? Is Fox simply incompetent, unable to keep up with even its bread-and-butter stories? Are we completely wrong and we've just missed Sean Hannity frothing at the mouth over "THIS DESPICABLE ATTACK ON A POOR OLD WOMAN!"?
Then again, perhaps it's none of that. Perhaps Fox News producers looked at this story and recognized that it was nothing more than a silly, sad, isolated attack, one that, if reported on, would add little to the national political dialogue. Could that be it? If so, then wow, Fox, we expected a whole lot less of you.

<big>Woman Attacked At ATM, Assailant Carves Letter Into Her Face</big>
Pittsburgh, PA – A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.

Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said.​

<big>Republican HQ Manager's Home Shot Up Over McCain Signs</big>
Longwood, FL – The home of a Central Florida Republican headquarters manager was shot up and damaged over his support of Sen. John McCain, the man told police.

Rog Coverely said several pellets pierced his Longwood home. Coverely showed several spiderwebbed-holes in the front windows of his home.

The Republican manager said he is convinced he was targeted because of new McCain signs he added around his home.

"All I can tell you is this, I have a very good relationship with my neighbors," Coverely said. "I mow my lawn. The only thing that has changed is I have two McCain signs in my front yard."

Coverely said he has taken about 300 calls concerning stolen or vandalized McCain signs in the area.

"It says this campaign is getting vicious," Coverely said.

Coverely said it appears Democrats are becoming more aggressive in the county.​

New York, NY – ...the District Attorney of New York has indicted an Obama supporter that ripped a McCain sign out of the hands of a McCain supporter and beat her in the face with the wooden stick to which the sign was attached.

So I reached for the sign that he ripped up, and he grabbed another sign, broke it, and ripped it to shreds. And when I said, “You can’t do that,†he took the stick from the sign and started beating me on the head with it. He broke the skin on my head, he scratched my wrist, and almost broke my glasses, and then he left.​

The victim, a small middle-aged woman, flagged down a policeman. They confronted the Obamamaniac and he admitted his attack. And now the DA has brought charges.​

PITTSBURGH – A McCain campaign volunteer made up a story of being robbed, pinned to the ground and having the letter "B" scratched on her face in a politically inspired attack, police said Friday.

Ashley Todd, 20-year-old college student from College Station, Texas, admitted Friday that the story was false and was being charged with making a false report to police, said Maurita Bryant, the assistant chief of the police department's investigations division. Police doubted her story from the start, Bryant said.

Todd, who is white, told police she was attacked by a 6-foot-4 black man Wednesday night. She now can't explain why she invented the story, Bryant said.

Todd also told police she believes she cut the backward "B" onto her own cheek, but she didn't explain how or why, Bryant said.

Todd initially told investigators she was attempting to use a bank branch ATM when the man approached her from behind, put a knife with a 4- to 5-inch blade to her throat and demanded money. She told police she handed the assailant $60 and walked away.

Todd told investigators that she suspected the man then noticed a John McCain sticker on her car, became angry and punched her in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground and telling her "you are going to be a Barack supporter," police said.

She said he continued to punch and kick her while threatening "to teach her a lesson for being a McCain supporter," police said. She said he then sat on her chest, pinned her hands down with his knees and scratched a backward letter "B" into her face with a dull knife.

Todd told police she didn't seek medical attention, but instead went to a friend's apartment nearby and called police about 45 minutes later.

The Associated Press could not immediately locate Todd's family.

Bryant said somebody charged with making a false report would typically be cited and sent a summons. But because police have concerns about Todd's mental health, they are consulting with the Allegheny County District Attorney. She remained in custody and was awaiting arraignment.

Todd worked in New York for the College Republican National Committee before moving two weeks ago to Pennsylvania, where her duties included recruiting college students, the committee's executive director, Ethan Eilon, has said.

Eilon declined to comment on the investigation Friday or to help The Associated Press contact Todd.

Earlier Friday, police said they had found inconsistencies in Todd's story. They gave her a lie-detector test, but wouldn't release the polygraph results. Investigators also said bank surveillance photos did not back up the woman's initial story of being attacked at an ATM.

Police interviewed Todd after she contacted police Wednesday night and again on Thursday, Bryant said. They asked her to come back Friday, ostensibly to help police put together a sketch of the man. Instead, detectives began interviewing her.

"They just started talking to her and she just opened up and said she wanted to tell the truth," Bryant said.

Bryant said it doesn't appear that anyone else put the woman up to the false report.

Police suspected all along that Todd might not be telling the truth, starting with the fact that the "B" was backward, Bryant said.

"We have robbers here in Pittsburgh, but they don't generally mutilate someone's face like that," Bryant said. "They just take the money and run."
