Kessler combines confidently and accurate. He got a heavy right hand. But he need to learn to fight going backwards. Or at least to not go desperate under pressure. He's like Wlad in that regard. At least he can learn how to hold, like Wlad did.

He is like Wlad in alot of ways. Thats no bad thing either mind you....its just that he doesn't have Wlads power or size advantage. But he is alot quicker, active and skilled.

So, in alot of ways, he's not like Wlad.

Uh Kessler has lost one fight against one of the best fighters in the world on a 8-4 decision, he´s never beeen down if I´m not mistaken, so to compare him to that canvaslicker is a bit misleading. Not every fighter has to fight like a bitch on defense, some can actually do it with head movement, lateral movement, footwork and a chin. :crafty:

Dont compare Kessler to that bum Wlad. Mikkel would never lose to a Lamon Brewster/Corrie Sanders calibre fighter.

Perhaps not a Brewster type fighter, but anything is possible with a guy like Sanders. Huge power, very tall and can deliver that straight left with amazing speed and accuracy early on.

That's the kind of guy who can surprise just about anyone who doesn't have a chin made of iron.

Anyone who calls Wlad a bum doesn't know a fucking thing about boxing.

It is just a word. Wlad is disgusting and not very good. Offensively he is amazing. However, his chin is one of the worst ever for a world class fighter and he fights in "Ruizian" fashion to protect his glass chin and tiny set of testes. He is talented no question but he is not a very good fighter as Purrity, Sanders, Brewster have shown. Even the ghastly Sam Peter dropped Wlad thrice.

Oh dont get your panties in a bunch Tam, he's not literally a bum. Although he has two losses on his record from literal bums(Purrity, and Brewster).

The thing I came to admire about Kessler after the Mundine fight,..

...........was that unlike all other fighters who give up when the referee wont enforce the rules,.. Kessler made a determined effort to combat that illegal shoulder roll shit. Instead of throwing punches that would skim off the top of Mundine's back, he would observed the area where Mundine's head was going to be (diagonally backwards from all that thigh and spine).. and would reach out and throw shots there accordingly,.. I mean,.. with the shoulder roll,.. due to the amount of body in the way,.. your never going to be able to hit the head with much force, but atleast Kessler would 'touch it up' consistantly.
