Now it's OK again. I started a thread in the training section and it I waited almost ten minutes and it was still not posted. I closed the page. When I visited the forum again I noticed that only the thread title was posted but the message was empty. Now it is OK.
I tripped on my server in my basement. Sorry :: Host was doing some moving. I do hope these problems resolve themselves. Please be patient. Cupey
Cupey.. for real.. I'm not trying to be funny or a jerk.. but is the "server" that houses Fightbeat.com a real server? is it at a data center? I have known guys to setup forums on their home computers over their DSL lines..
It is in a datacenter. If it was some flimsy old Cobalt running off of his DSL, it would probably crash with 30 active members at one time :: I believe he did say it was a Quad Core CentOS server after the week of downtime
it DOES crash all the time.. :: or at least freeze up and take forever to post. like I said.. I'm trying to be a dick.. for real.. but I know a dude that setup a forum on his old micron box in his basement on a DSL line and if too many people got on it would do the same.. but Cupey.. this forum is too awesome for that.. it deserves a real server at a datacenter.. I know that costs money. i'm just curious is that how it is right now or is it a home deal?
