The city of Montreal should have bought up a large percentage of the tickets and gave them away to anyone who was not white to create a more diverse crowd.

    Shame on Montreal. :nono:

I'm no kessler fan, but he beat Andrade impressively and relatively easily too.

Andrade soaked up an impressive amount of punishment.

Yep, that guy has a concrete chin. It reminded me in some ways of Tito-Mayorga. Trinidad was landing great power shots in combination and Mayorga took them.

The difference was Andrade lasted the distance.

i'll have to watch the kessler/andrade fight again i guess if everyone seems to think i'm full of shit.

either way, i don't think that fight was "as" one-sided as HBO reported to to be.

and i do remember kessler fading towards the end.

i'll reserve further comment on it until i watch it again. hopefully those anxious to sling insults my way can wait as long.

    It was that one-sided.

Both a boxing lesson and a beating rolled into one.

I recall Kessler finished strong, was flailing away at Andrade and caught him with some nice shots, and infact, Andrade spat his mouth-guard out,... it's very difficult to criticise Kessler for that fight in light of so many stinkers, runners and back-twisters out there,... Kessler fought a larger relentless opponent as honourably as one could possibly expect.

    Before the kessler fight

hardly anybody heard of andrade. Now almost everybody knows about him. Kessler fought an excellent fight against andrade. Bute almost got sparked numerous time if the ref hadn't kept on delaying the fight everytime bute got hurt.

Boo-Tay is no champ in my eyes, he's merely holding the IBF trinket hostage.

i was surprised Kessler couldn't beat Slappy. Just goes to show stink trumps just about anything. It was nice to see Andrade overcome Booty's stink.

There's no stink to Joe's game. Just a lot of slapping.

He was simply a better, faster, more skilled fighter than Kessler. More adaptable too.

There was no running, no holding, he just outboxed and outslapped kessler.

Did you even watch this fight? Slapper yes, but stink heck no. Unless you consider stink leaving your hands down and going slap happy on your opponent.. I didn't see stink in that particular fight.

Yes, Slappy is a holder. He throws his flashy, quick 10 punch combos and then grabs on before the other guy can get off.

Maybe not so much in the early rounds but more and more as the fight goes on.

Between Calzaghe and Hopkins I wouldn't say it is Joe who is known for holding.

I'm a fan of Hopkins and the difference between him and the rest of these clutch/humpers is Hopkins holds and works, holds and works. Dirty or not he's always trying to get something done on the inside even when he's holding on for dear life. Granted, it's not always legal but he's not just simply waiting for the referee to break them up.

I hate these other dry hump technicians like Ruiz, Hatton, Bute, Wlad and to a lesser extent Calzaghe who try to beat the other guy to the first punch and then hold on, wrap the other guys arms up and wait for the referee to come and break them up so they can do the same thing over again.

Kessler beat the fuck out of Librado- end of. You couldn't have given Andrade a single round, unless you were his mother...

He certainly didn't do that in the Kessler fight, that fight it is on youtube should you care to watch it.

Have you seen the Kessler fight? There is literally almost no holding.

There was far more holding the Nard fight, but most of it was initiated by Nard.

Save for his incredible performance against Pavlik, that's all Nard has been doing recently, the old grab'n'headbutt move over and over again, with the odd nifty counter right.

If you want to talk about stink, Hopkins should be at the top of your list, not Joe.

Hatton is a serial holder, Calzaghe isn't. Against guys who didn't hold him (Lacy, Kessler etc) he did almost no holding in return.
