if pavlik truly had a shoulder injury and bronchitis, why no rematch?

    Taylor received a lot of credit for fighting better in the rematch than in the first fight. Pavlik, to a degree, boxed better in the rematch than he has in most other fights, but the trade-off was that as the night went on, the threat of the fight ending inside the distance went from unlikely to no way in hell. This in part will answer your last question. But before we get there...

    Maybe it was because he didn't stick his chin in the air unexposed like he did right before he got caught?

    As I alluded to earlier, did he fight like a guy that had knockout on his mind in the Taylor rematch? Maybe the night began that way... just like he had that intention when the Hopkins fight began.

    Quick question - did you ever at any time buy Antonio Tarver's "I was poisoned" theory a year after the Hopkins debacle?

    all i know is pavlik didn't fight with passion he had the past. the reason? i'm inclined to believe a shouler ijury and bronchitis.
