And which of those were elite fighters?

Hamed beat a shit load of "world champions" too, and he is a borderline bum.

All of them were better than Jermain Taylor.

    :lol::lol:

Yeah Gamache and Haugen in particular were really elite, they'd stack up in history against the very best.

    Be serious please Radio.

Taylor was better than most of them, who at worst had 2 close losses to the great Hopkins, and was the unified middleweight champion.

I expect more from you , Mex. Chavez's level of opposition was 1000x's better than Hopkins' resume. It is not even debateable. Hopkins' is far more overrated than Chavez. At least Chavez fought people in his weight classes and even went up and fought bigger guys. Very poor take.

I just don't like Chavez. He is not as talented, and not as accomplished as many people make out.

He was a good fighter, but no better than Morales or Barrera.

Put it this way Ike, I would put Chavez at only a notch higher than Tito.

Who do you think would win at 147, Chavez or Margarito?

Margarito without question. Chavez was a non-entity at 147.

There's very few quality fighters in history i'd pick Julio over at welter.

By that rationale, I guess it would be unlikely Chavez would be able to beat a peak Leonard at welterweight. A feat Duran was able to accomplish without even stopping at 140.

140 is supposedly Chavez's best weight right? I don't even think he is the best 140 pounder ever. Would you pick him over Aaron Pryor for example? I wouldn't. A prime Chavez Vs Mongoloid rat-tail is a toss up.

Not in my opinion. He had some of his biggest wins at 140, but i don't think it was his best weight.

Nobody think Chavez was @ his best @ 140. He was already sliding by the time he got there.

I hate Chavez. Beside Pernell Whitaker, I can't think of a fighter from that era I detest more. He was far better than Barrera(who imo is the number 1 most overrated fighter in history. More than Tito) and I would listen to Morales who is a bit underrrated. You are just wrong on this ojectively. It just shows how wrong and biased you are being when you say he is a notch above Tito. Chavez had a far superior resume than Tito. I dare say even though he was a midget he'd have beaten nearly all of the welter weight trash cans Trinidad went through. Chavez is an all time great. I hate him and I hate his faggot fans even worse. Tito was an all time exciting fighter ut he was not even close to being an all time great.

Prime Chavez wouldnt beat Pryor, but best believe he'd have kicked Tszyu's ass.

I think Chavez beats Tszyu, but its competitive till the very end. Tszyu was MUCH quicker of hand than Chavez and hit umtpeen times harder. At that weight, that would matter.

Not Whitaker,... but yes Hopkins, yes, I know it hurts, it hurts you badly,.. but isnt it amazing, that Calzaghe can beat him,..make him roll around on the ground crying, and people still say,.. "Hopkins is better"....:notallthere: this is the auror of hypnotism that Hopkins produces so well my steer..

That's what Lou Del Valle said I think about his fight with Roy Jones,... "I dropped him, I won the fight, I dropped him"..

To quote Shaggy - "It wasn't me"

Stefan_Daffyd quoted Huts (interesting) post, I presume to shake the beehive and let the impending swarm descend, much like Super Joe's fabled fists of ferocious fury descended upon the face of poor Jeff Lacy
