I have seen this Peret guy and he isn't as crap as you could think. He comes forwards and has some skill even for European level, the problem is just that he is too short, not very fast and doesn't hit hard enoug with his hooks. His opponent looks like he is 6'8 or something like that.

Sylvester-Sturm should be good. I am picking Sylvester

quite a few seem to be leaning toward Sylvester. I want to see him win, but refrain from making a prediction. I pick Sturm to win, he delivers a career worst performance. I pick him to lose, he finally lives up to the hype...

Stylistically Sturm should be able to win. Sylvester does not move very fast and does not hit too hard. However considering how easily he beat Castillejo who gave plenty of trouble to Sturm tips the scale

Dzinziruk won by UD. No surprise there.

He had to show his good chin on two or three occasions early on, when Julio connected with some good shots. Dominated afterwards... :bears:

Ive seen his fight with Santos. He's a helluva fighter. Probably the best at 154. Since Williams is fighting at 154 now, I suggest they keep him away from Dzindiruk. Cuz the version I saw beat Santos would beat Williams as well.

Sturm won an easy UD. Tereshkin beat Peret.

Sturm did as Jake said and pulled one of his career best performances, nearly shutting out Sylvester and hurting him late in a lopsided win. It was a typical fight between two Germans, both holding hands very high and trying to make contact with snappy shots. Sturm's jab proved to be the deciding factor

Oh well. Not even these scrubs Alocba and Pittman fought Sturm as dumb as Sylvester. He seemed confused that Sturm didn´t back down. He always stayed in front of Sturm in perfect distance without throwing a punch, even when he landed his stiff jab, he took a step back, instead of following through with his right cross. It was there all night long to land, because Sturm continued his habit of keeping the left down, or pulling it back too slowly. Sylvester never threw any hooks. Sometimes fighters should keep their mouth shut, if they plan to fight as dumb as a rock, no head movement, no lateral movement. He basically begged Sturm to hit him first. 9-3/10-2-ish, the finnish judge dodged Sylvester an extra FU round.

Dzinziruk has slowed down, and Julio hit him good at the start, but once Dzinziruk adjusted and found his distance it looked pretty one-sided. If he forced the issue more or the fight was 15 rounds Julio would have been in trouble.

I've never seen Dzinziruk fight actually.

    What is he like stylistically?

And since when has he slowed down El?

He has struggled with pressure fighters like Lujan and Konecny lately. He´s a tall southpaw with an excellent quick stiff jab, good right hook, upright style, can be hit, if you can close the gap quickly, but appears to have a very good chin, since he took flsuh shots from both Santos and Julio early. You know what he´s a lot like Bute without the bitch gene.

Funny you should mention that, I just watched the only fight that was on youtube (well, highlights) - against Lukas.

And I must say I wasn't impressed. He looked pretty average to me at world level, and judging soley on that performance, I am very surprised he beat Santos.

Was that a bad day for him, or is he just not good with pressure fighters?

Not good with pressure fighters and slowed down a bit would be my guess.

I haven´t seen the Lujan fight, but some say that could/should have gone the other way. Konecny ain´t a bad fighter on the european level, but nothing more, and he beat Dzinziruk clearly imho. You should check out the Santos fight. That was the best pure boxing match at 154 in the last few years. Really entertaining high quality stuff.

I'll try and get hold of it.

And wow, so people actually think he lost those fights? Especially the Lukas one?

If he has trouble with pressure fighters, do you disagree with Xplosive thinking he would beat Tall Paul?
