Roy doesn't come out for round 6 after getting dropped at least once in the 5th.

Well that's at least some good news in Roy's favor.

I want to pick Roy "however" I had a dream that he was winning the fight handily, got caught and KTFO.

    Calz by UD.

I figured me hoping for Obama and Roy to both win in the same week is too much, so I'm gonna go with common sense on this one and pick Joe by clear UD.

If Obama and Roy both win, this would be the best week in history!:bears:

Funny you said this...if I had to choose between Roy getting KTFO and Obama losing...

Ironically...the corner appears to say "change."

    Could this be a sign???

    Obama wins, Roy KTFO????

Ok... I have a fix on it. First a couple of points about the fight. A boxing match is 12 rounds 3 minutes each, neither guy has to be Jeffries getting ready for Johnson! Point being that neither of these guys will be tasting any canvas. I find the notion that there will be a tko or KO in this fight ridiculous.

What could happen is Calzighe could win an easy decision cause Jones is shot, that is what Calzighe is banking on. But Joe is no pressure fighter, not really. Not like Glencofe is, thats for sure.

Jones could, on the other hand show Joe speed that he has never seen. The question becomes how will Joe handle this speed? And there in lies the proverbial rub: What tye of fighter will show up in Roy's corner?

I simply have to agree that this fight is being taken very seriously by Jones. With Tarver he wanted to save fact, but I do believe he wants to win this fight.

So this is probably what will happen: For the first few rounds or so virtually nothing. Both guys will be tentative. This will help Jones because he won't waste energy. Then in the middle rounds jones will do the unthinkable, he will outbox Joe. His speed will carry the day in the middle of the ring.

Joe will adjust and the last 3rd of the fight will be when Joe's persistance pay dividends and he starts to hit Roy a bit.

The fight will be determined by the judges. Most people will think Roy did more because he will land good clean and consistantly for the middle rounds. So like Hopkins Roy will be the better fighter but, the reason I will not be sig betting or otherwise for this fight is because like a lot of fights the judges will determine the outcome, not the fighters...

The real pundits will know in the end that when all 3 guys retire, Joe was bested by Hopkins and JOnes... thats the important thing.

Closer to the fight i am getting more confident for Joe....usually it is the opposite

    ....Calzaghe KO 9

....doesn't mean i think it will be an easy fight.....Jones may even have Calzaghe on the floor....but if Calzaghe applies, steady, intelligent pressure.....he will wear the great man down

Calzaghe KO 10. Roy wins a few rounds early, Joe showing Roy a lot of respect before getting into his stride and taking over, and gradually just slapping Roy into bolivian to a 10th round mercy stoppage.

Jones stuns Calzaghe once or twice, but surprisingly the twice KTFO cold Jones - takes Joe's shots fine.

Ignoring knowledge and indulging in echolocation.
Calzaghe's never ever been a puncher, yet at one stage his KO ratio was something like 80% or more, Warren's modus operandi was to impliment quick stoppages instead of fiddling about with the scorecards like they do on a Wilfried Sauerland event in Germany, which is your regular method of corruption we've grown accustomed to. I just wonder, if Roy will whip out his devastating bodyshots for this fight, his big puffy biceps generate plenty of bite to the vat, to quote a Cotto groupie post-Malignaggi,.. Roy's a "BONE BREAKER" a dreaded BONE BREAKER, to the body.

    Calzaghe UD

i think Calzaghe is a smart fighter...he'll adjust if he's behind

if Calzghe gets hit with a big shot and gets floored he'll fight on.....if Roy gets tapped with a decent shot he lose his balls

Roy didn't stop Ajamu or Hanshaw, he sure as fuck aint stopping Calzaghe.

Any true believers in Roy thinking it will be an easy night can make a wager against myself in the bets and wagers forum.

    Joe SD.
He ain't got the power to stop Roy. In fact Roy will hurt Joe more than the other way around and Joe may experience some very shaky moments.
Roy will look bigger & stronger, but Joe will win on activity/fitness.

I've a feeling Roy Jones Jr. will pull the upset and win via decision.

As past-it RJJ is, Calzaghe is still a good stylistic match-up for him. Joe doesn't really punch hard enough to give Roy fits. Even if he did, I don't think he has the technique, speed or timing to accurately deliver a KO-level punch. At this point, a volume-type fight actually favors Jones. He might be stronger than Joe. And I wouldn't be surprised if his short, compact punches can sting and hurt Calzaghe.

I'll go with this pattern, but I think it'll be a close UD for Calzaghe, like 7-5.

Whats funny is I basically agree with you guys except to me "Roy won it with more effective punching in the middle rounds" and the judges didn't get it right.:lol:
