I bet there are guys on this board who probably would be too much of a step up in class for Chavez Jr. Like my boys mexican wedding shirt, LOK, Stinger and steve dave to name a few. I bet steve dave would rape his ass!

I DONT SEE THE OUMA THING AS THAT FAR OFF TO BE HONEST, HE IS A FORMER WORLD CHAMP, DECENTLY SKILLED, AND IS PRETTY MUCH ON THE DOWNSIDE OF HIS CAREER, A WIN OVER HIM WOULD GET HIM AT LEAST LOOKED AT AS A GUY WHO IS SERIOUS...DONT YOU THINK?

You mistook the nature of my comparison to Mayweather. It was wholly to point out that both guys come out of a boxing family where there is a lot more than chomping at the bit, when it comes to monitring their skill and development.

Who is to tell anyone when and if they should be a pro? and dammit that is what is wrong with the sport Jake! Guys should do a nice slow burn and take their time, develop their skills and fight better comp when they are ready, maybe we wouldn't have so many one dimensional fightrs now a days.

The truth is that Sam Peter should be fighting the type of comp junior is and learning some boxing skills, and so should a whole bunch more guys who fight in championship calibre fiights and hardly know the first thing about the skills required to be a decent fighter.

I stand by my words on this one Jake. The similarity is that Roger and his brother might talk like dumbasses but they are smart as shit regarding the craft of boxing and so is Chavez and the company he keeps. Their project is junior and I cant wait to see how they bring the kid along.

I just want to apologize to Hanzy Jake and Steve Dave... and anyone else who had to spend a nickel and "god forbid:crying: "and watch a work in progress at the pro level. I mean my god fighters are so well rounded now a days and so compitant, ready to go thirty rounds and throw a zillion punches a round and able to do so many things in the ring.... I mean what nerve that some kid fights a few cans while they learn the ropes!!!

I mean really!! when we can watch skilled journeymen like Ricardo Montabons retarded younger brother Mayorga deal with a left hook to the chops... and watch Peter skillfully piss away his heavyweight dreams with a pawing jab and little else...... what business do we have wanting to watch an incompitant little whippersnapper like junior? With these luminaries!!!! :slap:

I must have been drinking the koolaid I tell ya!

Apology accepted. And Jr is a bum beater. Until he takes on a real fighter and takes real shots to the face, he's not a serious contender. And I want my money back!

The followin picture is a picture of Dempsey's amature career opponents. The guys who informed him and fought against him when he was coming up in the hardscrabble circuit of Colorado and the west.

It is intersting to note that Dempsey became quite an intellectual student of the game throug the efforts of the hobos he fought coming up and was, in addition to being a trainer, a very methodical fighter despite the appearance of just coming in willy nilly towards opponents.

Vanes Martirosyan has been wanting to fight him for two years now.

Since Vanes won in 80 seconds on that PPV card and both are promoted by Top Rank, maybe it will happen, and if it does it's the deep freeze for Jr.

Hanz, Chavez Jr. went to your house and took your credit card and charged it for 44.95? Did he have his Burger King posse with him?

It's not like Jr keeps his opponent's name a secret, you know he is fighting a bum, yet you still order?:notallthere:

I went on Chavez Jr's official website and he said: "Saturday night will be a great night for boxing, you will not be disappointed!"
So I paid and got cheated because it wasn't a great night for boxing AND I was disappointed.
