Just wanted to remind you guys that it is WED night. Not on the weekend. I almost forgot myself. :bangh:

Pretty damn good card too with Filho vs. Sonnen and Jens Pulver on the card as well.

    Nice hump day treat. :cheer:

Yep, my Tivo is ready to rock and roll. This is the card that I had tickets to see before the hurricane got it postponed. Now I have to go to Chicago tonight and will miss it completely.

For all those possible MMA fans that haven't quite fallen in love with the sport, Brown-Faber and Sonnen-Filho will make you believers.

Filho didn't make weight, so the fight is a three rounder and not for the title

I'm looking forward to seeing how Rosholt does. He comes from a MAJOR wrestling pedigree.

Good first round. Osterneck looked good on his feet, but Rosholt won the round with his ground work.

Rosholt wins via GNP in Rd 2. He was rocked badly a few times though.

    Very fun fight. Typical WEC.

Both of these guys are still green, but they look like they have a lot of potential.

Rosholt can´t fight worth sh*t standing, but that other idiot, with his high kick and backfist attempt totally blew it. If he stuck to a basic jab, one-two combinations and hooks he would have won easily.

Faber got 0 defense in the stand up, he got good physical gifts but as I always said, it was completely ridiculous to have him in the top 5 p4p, he wasnt even in the top 20 imo

I thought the stoppage was a bit early, even if it was another example of how soccer kicks are essential to MMA

Faber just got caught trying to be too cute. He beats Brown 9 out of 10 times.

i think his chin is a bit suspect, he got hit by Pulver and was acting weird. Same today before the KO even. Plus u saw that Pulver is past it. The fact he couldn't stop him says a lot imo.

    He's definitely a bit overrated.

Sure is, he feasted on lots of garbage fighters. I told everyone he was no top 5 fighter in MMA not that long ago. That was just silly.

    Says the armchair quarterback.

Faber was waaay too overconfident and took his opponent too lightly. I guarantee that Faber beats him in a RE. He needs to stop those stupid crazy stunts because they can lead to disaster. He got caught with a money shot, plain and simple. With 4 oz gloves, that type of shot is usually game over.

Simple. I am not the one here posting that after his loss, he is overrated, a bum, etc. etc.

He got caught. Plain and simple. Happens all the time. No excuses, no bullshit.

Where did i say he is a bum you nut??? He was overrated as in bein ranked p4p Top5. And i stated that in the june fightbeat p4p thread post number 2 feel free to check it out.

That was even before his fight with Pulver i believe and those fights just show i was right.

So save me that armchair shit because i'm pretty far from that although not a fighter of course. But i'm no one calling anyone bums and especially not all of a sudden after a loss. :kick:

Right there with ya man. I must admit, I had him at number 5 on the p4p list. I still think he is extremely athletic. The guy can fight, glad he got knocked down a notch.

Who was complaining about that stoppage? He clearly got beat up. His chin isn't that bad because although he got dropped, he got hit cleanly hit about a dozen times and didn't go to sleep.

Glad you brought that thread up Valdosta :kidcool:

I had Faber bottom top 10 at best but no way in hell he's top 5 p4p.Its not his fault but the 145 division is super weak with talent and its not just in the US its as a whole.I will say this though.Nogeira would of never lost to a fighter the caliber of brown.
