List all the fights Roy won on Premature Stoppages

First has to be the Vinny Pazienza fight. It was clear to me that Vinny simply got caught up on the ropes and wasn't given a fair shake to get up.

The other obvious one has to be that low blow that Roy hit Virgil Hill with that the ref ruled a punch to the ribs. It was clear as day in the replays that punch was right to the nuts.

Oh, that rematch with Montell Griffin leaves something to be desired. Montell was clearly not given a fair chance to recover. A little more time and Montell was ready to take Roy out.

Can you think of any more?

 

The Brannon fight.::

Seriously though... the only Roy fight I can recall that was stopped a bit too early was the Sosa fight. But even that wasnt a terrible stoppage. Sosa was getting lit up somethin terrible, and was about to get knocked out anyway.

Of course it doesn't. They hired a gay ass announcer to voice Lampley, Foreman, and Merchant's calling of the fights, WORD FOR WORD. It is pathetic. You should hear the Hill KO when Foreman yells "UNHEARD OF, UNHEARD OF" and the "new" announcer does it....garbage. I'm just glad I got my DVD signed and REED's too.

That's what I was thinking. Hall's game plan was to wear Roy. Hall even said in the press conference "After 11 Roy's going to Heaven!"

Yeah, the Sosa fight was a bad stoppage. Roy would have stopped him eventually, but Sosa had heart. Plus in the flurry the ref stops it in, Roy seriously didn't land much more than two punches. Sosa was definitely one of the most game opponents Roy faced.opcorn:

He actually looked like a zombie, with his eyes rolled back and his mouth gaping open, it was horrendous. Funny though.

 

Sosa was taking a Hall type beating, and it was only gonna get worse for him. The 96 Roy didnt gas out and fight in spurts like the 08 Roy.

I wish that version of Roy woulda fought Glenn Johnson. The "Road Warrior" woulda been Road Kill.

 

Watch the Bryant Brannon fight to see how it would have gone down, maybe add 2-3 more rounds.

Yes. I dont care how good Sosa's chin was, he was taking too many flush power shots. Roy was hitting him at will, and had hurt him several times and dropped him. The ref saved Sosa from getting stopped brutally.
