List all the fights Roy won on Premature Stoppages

I always think the same thing when guys say that about early stoppages. Why even fight? Its only gonna get worse:laughing:

Of Roy's? JUST SOSA. Roy was going to stop him anyway. Joe was going to stop Manfredo and Mitchell too.

 

Oh true. Glenn Johnson goes about 7 or 8 rounds with a prime Roy before getting stopped.

 

Not KO him, but best believe he'd stopped.

Lets not overrate Johnson here. Glenn is a good, solid fighter, nothing more. A young Roy would have given him a VERY one sided thrashing.

 

I dunno if Jones would throw enough punches to stop Johnson.

 

Depends on if Johnson pressured him all night. If Glenn continued to walk into punches of a prime Roy all night, he'd get stopped.

Either way, stoppage or no stoppage... a prime Roy beats the bejesus outta Johnson.

 

Don't disagree, although Jones never really looked great against strong, compact sturdy pressure fighters.

 

Well thats what Sosa was. Granted Johnson is better than Sosa, but Merqui if nothing else was strong, and sturdy. I disagree, I think Roy in his prime handled pressure fine.

I think if anything was to give him trouble it'd be a slick counterpuncher. Thats why I think a prime Nunn would have been his biggest test.

A pressure fighter that might have given Roy problems is Qawi.
