WOw what an exciting fight, seeing Chuck Lidell iced by the first clean blow that lands again ::

 

Chuck wouldn't stand with Silva for long. He'd take him down for sure.

 

Chuck looked very slow and flat footed last time. His footwork was horrible. He really looked his age, even despite the knockout blow that put him down.

 

i dont think this fight woudl happen..

it's more of a mismatch than DLH-PAC

 

LOK, could you have a shot at Anderson Silva in your prime? What's the best tactics to employ in beating him? Boxing can't be it because he's got good footwork and muay thai. I think one needs to close ground on him and try a takedown kinda like Travis Lutter did.

I'd try to just bum rush him, take him to the mat and then choke his skinny ass out

you only 'feel' you're in your prime but your body is old. 35 is when reflexes and speed are a fraction slower. 38+ is when the body really starts breaking down and then you need special diets and supplements and some testosterone to squeeze out an extra year or two.

You only think you're in your prime. A drill sargeant or pro trainer would expose your ass as being an old man. Our bodies break down more into our 30s LOK. It takes longer for us to recover from injuries. 35+ aint anybody's prime. 25 is, not 35.

I will not argue that recovery takes longer.. but not much longer..

but.. thing is.. sometimes in our phsical prime or what should be.. we abuse our bodies more..

I am somewhat a freak anyway and am turning back the clock..

I don't know what sports you are active in. But I know that in sports like tennis, you would feel your age compared to your early 20s. That's why tennis is a young man's sport and you're already past your physical prime by age 28.

 

You'll not be turning back the clock when you hit 37. Then you'll really feel it. Hell even I feel the same as I did 10 years ago but I know there's no way I can. Athletes don't improve after 35, they decline.

Silva is 100 times the striker Rashad is, and Rashad only needed 1 punch.
