I hope Hattons mauls Malignaggi, but I think Malignaggi has the right style to beat him. I'll take Malignaggi to outbox Hatton in a SD, with Hatton having some big moments along the way.

What gets me is I have a legitimate voice in my head that keeps saying everyone is undersetimating Pauli's boxing. The guy has hung with some good comp and he is not the guy to be in the ring with if you are a six rounder like Hatton has become.

Paulie is not good or consistent enough to hold him off...nor strong/hard-punching enough to hold him off.

For the life of me I don't get where the perception that Paulie could "box Hatton's ears off" comes from...especially given Hatton's quickness and ability to clinch and fight inside (which, btw, Paulie does not do).

I'm surprised by how much bigger the Arab looks at the weigh in.

I always thought Paulie was quite a smaller 140 pounder, but he is quite a bit taller than Hatton, and not exactly scrawny either.

I dont think Paulie wins, but I do believe that there will be moments and rounds in the fight where he does box Hatton's ears off. There just wont be enough of them.

 

Floyd Sr, is an underrated trainer. I think Hatton will show us some things we've never seen from him before including some defense and he will outbox Paul to a UD.

Mayweather Sr is a clown. All he ever did was fuck up Oscar's style. The only other trainer in boxing who's more overrated than Floyd Sr is McGirt, who's working Paulie's corner tonight.

 

Seriously, he is one the worst. Underrated::::He is horrid.

 

Based on what, Oscar? You may think he's terrible and I respect you guys opinion but based on what he's done with his son, the defensive improvements made with Bojado, and the continued dominance by Guzman I think he's a lot better than some of the other big names out there right now like Stewart, or McGirt IMO.

I just think with a guy young enough like Ricky who has a lot of talent but also a lot of room for improvement can really use a guy like Sr, and I bet we'll see some improvement in Ricky who'll hopefully get away from his hit and hold style.

The old Hatton could have beaten Paulie easily just off of his pressuring style, but I'm interested to see how he'll look tonight.
