I don't get this part... what do you mean Max "has" them. They don't have either. Dougie Fischer appeared on a few countdown specials, but that would be the extent of the HBO-Max connection - and in fact the end, since Dougie has now joined The Ring.

Max hasn't had a deal with ESPN in years, pretty much since Dan Rafael started doing 4-5 articles a week for them.

I have to say between the two, I enjoy ESPN.com far more than Yahoo. I feel like I'm reading a series of blogs whenever I read an article (any sport, not just boxing) on Yahoo, whereas most of ESPN's content at least comes across as objective.

Ahh, so The Ring finally figured out that this internet thing isn't just a fad. Too bad it's too late.

It blows my mind how publishers can straight up ignore the internet and the possibilities it brings and instead concentrate only on producing a glossy magazine. The magazine industry and the Ring especially, deserve their fate.

it's the 'Bible' of boxing? so it's outdated, inconsistent, and delusional?

(sorry joe, had to get that in there)

I don't get it. On the junior featherweights Rafael Marquez has lost his last two fights (one via TKO), but he is still ranked #1 above Celestino Caballero who unified titles, Juanma Lopez who is still undefeated and other guys who hasn't lost for quite some time. Does losing in an action packed bout erases the final outcome and elevates the boxer?:boohoo:

Of course it does. Look where Israel Vasquez is these days. He's a P4P fighter because he's run off a string of wins over bantamweights....and gone tooth and nail with every single one of them. :notallthere:

Even Palestinians don´t hate Vasquez as much as you do.

They have had much worse guys ranked P4P.

Im not talking about The Ring so much as I am about the rest of you retards.

And Israel Vasquez is one of my favourite fighters. I just don't have to watch fighters through rose coloured goggles like you guys.

The internet has made boxing magazines all but obsolete. Who's gonna spend money on a magazine that's a month or so behind when they can get up to the minute boxing news all over the internet?

I used to have a subscription to KO, and used to get The Ring all the time, but other than an odd copy here and there at an airport before a flight, I haven't bought a boxing magazine in ages.

Well, a magazine would have to have superior writing, insight, features, etc....but if they're not offering that, then yes, it's hard to compete with the internet.
