Valero doesn't remind me of Monzon.

I think he's a lot more like a combination of Jose Napoles and Lennox Lewis.

i guess i'm basing it primarily on his fight with Mosquera in which he had to resort to boxing round after round, using his jab and his height to win rounds.

    I can see that.
Maybe Butterbean and Pernell Whitaker, too.

valero is a sensational fighter, but he needs to hurry up and secure a fight in the near future.

if he's signed by golden boy as rumored, he'd be a serious threat to guys its stable of lightweights.

i'd be hesistant to make him a solid favorite against marquez, but i think he beats up what's left of casamayor w/ ease and would dish out a severe beatdown against juan diaz. katsidis probably won't last more than 5 rounds.

Karl is pretty simple. He has his favorites which are typically guys his talked to, interviewed or knows personally a little bit. Anyone else sucks.

Remember, this is the same guy that said Chad Dawson would survive 5 or 6 rounds with Chris Henry.
