    He just beat Paulie...

Bradley has become a 'top challenger' on the basis of beating Shitter and was no more than a prospect five minutes before that fight. Beating Shitter does not a 'top challenger' make... :nono:

    Bailey? Hmmm

Kotelnik has lost to Witter in a snoozefest and beat Gavin fucking Rees. I like Kotelnik, a lot, (even more so after smashing Rees to a bloody pulp)but he is hardly a 'top challenger', nor was he so before he beat Rees and he has done nothing of note since then to claim that he is. Would be live against Hatton though, as I've said elsewhere in this thread.

Holt is a chinny mark and Torres would be live on the basis of his power.

BUT...when Hatton was beating Urango, Maussa, Castillo etc, none of these guys were remotely relevant. Not a single one of them. You can't start NOW counting these blokes against a resume of a guy who is clearly, at most, two fights away from retiring after 10 years odd and 40 unbeaten fights odd into a career at a single weight. By the time he got round to beating that lot, he'd be 33ish and there would be half a dozen other illustrious 'top challengers' for him to take a shot at.

    That arguement is cyclical.

Calzaghe at 175? He has basically done the same at 175 as Hatton has at 140. Beat the old champ and nothing. Dawson beat Adamek, Johnson, Tarver and Harding and bascially UNIFIED the WBC/IBF belts. That´s not more claim than Bradley beating ONE top ten guy?

Judah USED to KO MOOKS with ease. Last time I checked (a fortnight ago?), he could barely pull the trigger against an absolute palooka.

Judah, the most overrated fighter of modern times surely, has lost every single fight against any fighter worth a damn. Hatton would smash him to ribbons.

Hatton has had 40-odd fights at 140 and has never lost, beat the universally recognised champ, a few other beltholders and plenty of top-ten ranked guys.

Calzaghe beat an old champion and an older shell of a champion.

There is no comparison that I can see at all- even as a Joe fan, there is no logical argument that I can see for claiming his 'dominance' at 175.

What does Hatton at 147 have to do with Hatton at 140?

No-one has even come close to even seriously hurting Hatton at 140, let alone stopping him.

If this is the best you've got, then you aint got shit.

At no stage in that fight did Hatton look in any real danger of being KOed.

Like someone said before...Hatton fought the weakest opponent/champ possible..when he fought Urango/Maussa..there were a few better opponents/champ out there at the time he fought these guys...and he just did it again when he fougth Malignaggi...with Holt/Torres/Bradley/Bailey available...Castillo was beyong shot by the time Hatton got to him....

Hatton isn't sooo dominant at 140...at least not as dominant as say Margarito at 147..though he lose to Williams....he has victories over Cotto/Cintron/Clottey all top 10 opponents at Welter right now...

I guess you didn't see the Lazcano fight...in round 8 Hatton was hurt...but came back nicely to dominate the round..and again in round 10 he was hurt and was holding to dear life...and he should thanx the ref for stopping the action to give Lazcano a bullshit warning...then giving Hatton time to tie his shoe...

Lazcano shook him a little...but it was nothing more than that...

....he was a lot closer to getting stopped vs Eammon Magee whilst he was still on his way up

Judah would trouble Shat-on with his left hand...he'd counter it often and hurt Ricky

but really...all Hatton needs to do against Judah is keep a tight defence and keep coming forward....after 4 rounds he can swing with his left as wildly as he wants

Judah is actually on Btalk calling out Hatton right now. I give Judah more of a chance than most as I feel he was fighting in a division against guys too big for him at 147.

Still though, Ricky is kind of big for a jr welter so Judah would likely still lose but at 140 depending on what Judah has left I don't feel it's as much a foregone conclusion as everyone else thinks.

did you see Judah on the Roy/Calzaghe undercard? he fought some scrub at 140 and looked like shit.

It's not the weight it's him who has declined alot. Judah still talks shit but Hatton will just outwork him and overwhel him afer a few rounds.

I used to be the type that would always give Judah a shot in big fights based on talent alone.

But that time has come and gone. He will soon be a shot fighter.

Judah is like the high school slut. Hatton deserves his notch too. Judah won't win but we will hear from the Black Panthers once again that Judah will finally do it this time. Forgetting of course, that homo has lost nearly every big fight he fought and some tuneups.

''Zab could unify 140!, the belts are his for the taking!''...

    mercy
