Judges had Amin ahead, I thought it was about even after six rounds. Then Asikainen bombed the granite-chinned legend out in brutal style

 

In the undercard there is the super-talented heavyweight Robert Helenius (4-0). He is 6'7 and about 245 lbs. You'll be hearing about him. Well, at least from me.

Gevor dropped Asikainen right at the bell with a lefthook.

 

Asikainen stuns Gevor at the end of the 2nd orund. that´s a pretty good entertaining fight. Asikainene always freezes on the inside, and has a concerned look on his face, but to his credit he doesn´t fight like it.

Gevor lands more and cleaner than in the previous rounds. It seems he can hurt Asikainen more than the other way around.

29-27 Gevor

 

Best round for Asikainen, who stuns Gevor again. No doubt Asikainen is more techincally sound, while Gevor appears tougher and is busier.

38-37 Gevor

 

Missed the 5th due to bad stream. Score it 10-10. Asikainenn tripped Gevor over his left foot, ref scored it a knockdown anyway so 10-8 6th round.

57-56 Asikainen.

I think Asikainen had to drop off too much weight which weakened him, he seemed somehow weak today. However all props to Gevor, he was much better inside and took Asikainen's best shots even though he did wobble in the fourth.

Next Finn in EBU title fight is Juho Tolppola in December as he faces Branco in Italy. Tolppola is a tough guy but he has already suffered several decision defeats
